I hired ******** renovations in December 2021. We had a written contract with items to be done in the house /cost and amounts. *********************** also provided me with 4 invoices. He asked for 50% deposit up front which I thought was high , but he had a prepaid contractors license , so I thought I was safe. *** and his partner only started the bathroom invoice and the painting one. They did not even start the other 2 that I paid a 50% deposit on. They did not do any of the painting they were suppose to do , maybe 1/3 of the job and it needs to be redone and he started the bathroom and walked off the job and left it in shambles. The tiling that was done needs to be redone as it's completely incorrect and the countertop is wrong and it's not put together and a disaster. He also charged me for an egress window that he never started and drywall that was never started. He did not fulfill any of the contract. He walked off the job and wanted even more money when he hasn't even started any of the other invoices. He demanded his tools back that night and called the ****** on me because he wanted them now. Then he sends me a brand new invoice , instead of paying back what he owes, adds in a bunch of made up items that was not agreed upon , but then says, you don't have to pay it though we will just all walk away. ************ ** **** *********** * ***** ** *** ****** ** *** **** *** *** ****** ** ****** ** ****** I told him I needed time to think and then on January 14, 2022 he randomly sent me 3 more brand new invoices with yet another attempt to ****** ***** **** **. I have never encountered anything like this in my life and I feel completely taken advantage of. This is totally unethical and immoral. I prepaid all the invoices in full.Business response

We gave you samples for everything, YOU chose what YOU wanted.90% of the painting had been done along with extra that was not on the original invoice. Regarding your shower, the day after it was completed you stated how happy you were. If there was a problem you could have told us, and it would have been fixed. The egress window that you are referring to you were not charged for, it was taken off the invoice. We worked there for a month, in fact we did more work than your deposit covered. Your statement about the tools is false. You told us you did not want us back and kept our tools from us, This is why the ****** were called. I would not have left all my tools at your home if I was planning on walking off the job. In your statement to the BBB you stated that you paid all invoices in full, this is false, there are documents to prove this. This started December 30th with a phone call I made to you regarding questions I had for the job. During the phone call you started yelling at me and then hung up on me. After you hung up on me you sent me a text saying I guess thats fine. I did not feel comfortable going ahead with the work on you texting I guess. I want my customers to be sure of what they want. At this point **** and I decided to go home for the day. In the email I asked you if everything was ok, if there was anything you were unhappy with we could have a meeting over the weekend and discuss. YOU stated YOU did not want us back after my email. Your statements saying that I sent invoices with made up items are also false. I am not sure what you are referring to here. We treated you with nothing but respect and did extra work for you. You gave no signs of being unhappy during those days we were there and if you had we would have fixed it. I told you in an email I wanted the opportunity to at least come back and complete the work that we had started in your bathroom, and you ignored my email.
