I bought a ***** from Visions Electronics (online), delivered on 29 Jul, for my new home. I put the TV in a safe place and didn't open until I cleaned up the space for my TV on Aug 17. Very similar to many other cases, the TV screen was badly cracked when opened. Then I requested through the online ** for a replacement due to damaged product. Same results as others had experienced, I was rejected because I didn't reported the damaged produced within 24 hours after receiving the product. The ** quoted that 'As per our shipping and delivery page, in regards to damaged products, as seen on this web page: ************************************************************** "If you received your online purchased product damaged, you must notify Customer Service within 24 hours. Failing to do so may result in a denied claim from the carrier."'With the package arriving intact and in good condition, I don't know why I was responsible to assume the product must be damaged! And I don't understand why "Failing to do so may result in a denied claim from the carrier." because I do think the product was very likely damaged before picking up by the carrier. The seller should take responsibility for selling demaged product, not the third party carrier. I read though, in the online help center, the sections "Customer Satisfaction Guarantee: If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply bring it back to a store and we'll gladly return or exchange it within 30 days* of purchase." and "Defective Product: If you find your product to be defective within 30 days of receiving it please contact our Customer Service Team to find out if you are eligible for a Defective Exchange." and the exceptions. Sorry to have a thought that it is the company's conspiracy to set a very unreasonably strict terms particularly for handling damaged products, as from the reviews online, this company is repeatedly selling dysfunctional goods to consumers. Hello, I am sorry for the condition of your TV when you received it.Our Damage Claim Policy is very strict as it relies on the Damage Claim Policy of the Courier.If we do not have reported damage within the first 24 hours of the delivery they will deny the claim hands down. Bought a 65 inch tv from vision electronics. I didn’t open the tv for 11 days because I didn’t have a stand nor did I have anyone able to help me lift the tv out the box. The day i received my stand from amazon, my son came over and we put the stand together and lifted the tv out the box. The t.v was severely damaged. I reached out to vision electronic and was told because I didn’t open within 24 hours that they won’t do anything. I am stuck with a broken tv. I am currently taking them to small claims to resolve this matter. I don’t know how this company is still in business. If I would have read all the bad reviews that I seen after the fact.Visions Electronics Ltd.( HO) Response

Hello,
I am sorry about the condition of your TV when you opened it, but unfortunately our policy is clearly stated at the time of the purchase and on the back of the receipt for in-store purchases.
The courier companies will deny any claim not made within 24 hours of delivery for those orders that are made online.

They are not honoring their warranty policy, i nought a tv and stereo system and bought a 5 year warranty, i was supposto get the 256.00 credited to another purchase, now tget are stating i have to spend 560.00 in order to collect. **** online order policy.Sent me a corded pair of headphones that were broken. I was given the option of a replacement or refund. I chose replacement as they were for my son's 10th birthday. Sent me another pair that was broken in the same way. I emailed them for a refund and they replied that I was out of the 24 hour notice window so they wouldn't refund or replace.Their online store is a total ****. Send items that they know cannot be sold in store and hope the buyer doesn't notice it with their "24 hour return policy."I've purchased my last 5 TVs and dishwasher from these guys but they've completely lost my business over a $25 pair of headphones. They get people in by offering low prices on cheap dysfunctional goods and upsell on a warranty claiming they will refund you for if you don't end up using it but you likely will. They claim to have the best warranty but they don't tell you that once you submit a claim you no longer have any warranty for future issues. Really shady business strategy, they sell products that they admit are no good and have a high rate of failure and they make money by selling more warranty or then forcing you to buy more expensive name brand products if you don't want warranty. Went to the ******* store and bought a Nakamichi car stereo and was upsold on the warranty as they said that if we didnt end up needing the warranty, they would refund us back. After 8 months the screen went black and it started to have a burning smell, I had to take it out as I was worried that it would catch on fire. Went back to the store with and they dealt with it saying they would let us know when a new one is ready. When we went to pick it up they asked us if we wanted to buy warranty for it, but they never told us that once you use the warranty it is no longer valid again even though we paid for 2 years and still had a year left. They said that if we had wanted to we could have submitted a manufacturer warranty claim their warranty would still be valid but they never told us this first and since we went through Visions first our manufacturer warranty was no longer valid. We didnt want to give them any more money, but the guy said that he wouldnt advise it as ********* has a high failure rate and that it would likely break again, which none of this was told to us when we first bought it. So, since they would not offer a monetary refund we were forced to spend $150 extra and buy a name-brand stereo in hopes of having no future issues. They said that there was nothing they could do and even blamed us for buying a cheaper stereo that had issues, none of which was told to us at the time of purchase.Visions Electronics Ltd.( HO) Response

Hello, I cannot attest to what was told to you at the time of purchase, but I can assure you that the warranty details are explained in full on the back of your receipt. Most items have at least 1 year of manufacturer warranty, but if there is an issue within the first 30 days we will generally resolve the issue. Our extended warranty plans only begin after the initial year of owning the product. If a replacement is issued that would end your warranty, but if the unit was serviced the warranty would continue until it's normal expiry date or until a replacement/credit was issued. I have been dealing with Vision Electronics in *************** for over 20 years and never had a problem until recently. About a year and a half ago I purchased a 85 inch 8K ******* ** there and a very expensive 5 year warranty to go with it. Last December the ** simply stopped working. When I called Visions to make a claim on the warranty they told me I'd have to deal with the repair company on my own. When I contacted the repair company they told me it would be at least 2 week to deal with the repair. I then contacted the sales guy who sold me the ** at Visions and told him this was too long a wait and questioned why I had to deal with it when I paid Visions for the warranty. He told me there was nothing he could do. After 5 weeks and still waiting for the repair I contacted Vision's store manager who just gave me more excuses on why nothing could be done. In the end it took 7 weeks for the ** to be repaired! This is totally unacceptable and Visions has just lost a 20 year customer.Visions Electronics Ltd.( HO) Response

Sorry to hear that the warranty process was not finished sooner for you.
Warranty claims do however take an average of 2 to 6 weeks, but this does not account for part availability as often the depots will have to order in parts once they confirm where the fault lies in the unit.
The reason we have you contact the depot directly is that it will be done faster than if we handle the communications between you and them.
They need to arrange specific times for the service calls, so it would be delayed if we have to do the back and forth in these warranty claims.

5 yrs ago i bought a tv from Vision Electronics here in ********..I was offered to buy a extended warranty on it and was inform that within the 3 yrs term if nothing happen to the product that i bought and the extended warranty was not used they will reimbursed it into a store credit...So, i purchased an extended warranty..Now,within those years past by i was able to redeemed the warranty but the only catch was you have to spend double the amount to used your store credit which i found out from the time that i was bout to use it at the store..To me it doesnt make sense..A store credit should able to used it without any hidden agenda on it..I think its totally B.S.how Vision Electronics operate their program..Either a cash grabber or scamming people..Its a just disappointing to see how they able to take advantage on their customer hard working money.I just wasted my $390 unless i bought something double the price..Review from Lee P

Worst service EVER from ****** store! Staff members were great but system sucks! Drove an hour to get there because Website said they had stock but that was in *******, not ******. Ordered TV & stand, no sign of either after 2 weeks (from ******* to ******, ridiculous!) Couldn't track our order, couldn't give us delivery date. TV finally showed up after 3 weeks but we couldn't set it up because stand took another week & we had to go to the store to pick it up because no delivery drivers were available. Called again yesterday because remote isn't working properly, never got the promised call-back, that happened several times during this process. Will never deal with Visions again & have spread our story through conversation & social media because this company doesn't deserve to stay in business! Would also leave NEGATIVE stars if I could!Review from Jeremy C

Seems like there is a trend here. Fix your processes Visions! ** **** ****** * ****.... I purchased a monitor from their website because you cannot select in store the way you can with ** ** ******** After purchasing same day tried to cancel it because I read bad things about the quality and that it would also take 4-6 weeks to receive. I sent a cancellation in to the team but the next day after they got the cancellation my item shipped. Then I received a response back on my cancellation order that because it said in very small letters after you click on the learn more link that I cannot cancel the order once shipped. Terribly shady folks. I spend a ton of money in your store but because of this practice / customer service you have lost a customer for life. Takes very little to keep a happy customer. I am sorry you were not able to get in touch with our Customer Service Team before this was processed for shipping. During the busy season we try to have orders processed and shipped as soon as possible. Ordinarily Special Order Items are Final Sale, but under these circumstances you are welcome to bring the unit back with your Invoice to your local store for a full refund on your purchasing card.
