It has been a year since we contacted the company about reroofing part of our roof with a 2/12 slope. It was starting to leak around the skylight which had a broken outer dome. We ordered a new skylight from *** ********, the oldest and best company in the business. They made and installed the new skylight on the existing curb from the previous sky light. We’ve had leaking issues all along. GC have come out 6 times now to fix it, including taking off the professionally mounted skylight off It’s curb. There was and is no need for that to be done. It’s the improper roofing materials and installation that I believe is the issue. This is backed up by a cursory examination by a non partisan third party professional roofing inspection company. The roof should have been done not with shingles but a flat roof system in my opinion. So it’s raining right now and it’s leaking, worse than it ever has. It has already cost us a computer printer and it is now progressed to where it will be at minimum interior drywall remediation. Every time they send someone out it’s a different person. So there is no continuity and very little to no communication between us and the company and the company and it’s roofers. We are never told what is going to happen and are in the dark until a truck shows up and starts to ‘fix’ things. We have not been charged for the many callbacks but we have also not had any results. Despite of their ok ratings I would never recommend the company to anyone. I have owned my own business most of my life and understand the power of word-of-mouth from both sides of the desk I would like them to refund my money in total and get a competent company to do what should have been done in the first place. We have contacted the client and assured them, if the cause of leaking is due to our workmanship we will have the affected area repaired under warranty. The client was under the assumption that we would not be coming out again to complete any repairs and thus the reason they submitted this *** complaint. We have clarified for the client that we will come out and further investigate their issue and complete final repairs to rectify the issue. The client was satisfied with this resolution.

I am rejecting this response because: They have shown to promise response and then not show up or show up days later. Example it is 10:30 am right now and they are 3 hours overdue from what we were told yesterday would be their arrival time. The times they have shown up, its been a different subtrade roofer every time. There is no continuity or communication. We still have a leak. They have certified roof inspector on staff who should be inspecting the subcontractors work. We are keeping this file open until they fix the leak.

I met with the client at their home on Friday September 9th to review their concerns and repairs required to correct the issues. I outlined the re-work of the entire area we had previously completed in 2021 and our commitment to redo the entire area. I made arrangements with the clients to have this work completed on Monday September 12th. Once the repairs are completed, We will complete an inspection and water test to ensure there are no further issues. I have also taking pictures of the interior damage than needs to be corrected once the roofing repairs have been done. The client was satisfied with my outline of repairs we will be completing and then the arrangements of the interior repairs needed.
