Purchase a "mess dress" at $2000. ( A type of dinner suit) and a requirement for officers in the CAF to wear at their own cost 29 Jun 2022. Fitting by the tailor, 2 Aug 2022. Was told due to issues it would be mid October 2022 it would be ready. Date line passes, no information forthcoming. I contacted Mr. **** (the tailor concerned) who stated he had been busy and had staffing and logistical problems. He then stated it would be complete by the end of October. Again, this time passes. Upon contacting him again at the end of October he assures me it will be mid November. As I am unhappy I sought to complain to the ***** (where I had financed and ordered John the Tailors services). I hasten to add that this was not of THEIR doing. Informed the manager of the ***** at CFB Edmonton and she makes some enquiries. I am then contacted by Mr. **** who states I can pick the outfit up on Remembrance Day. I am having to chase him down by my complaint. As I am on parade that day it is not possible as I have duties as an officer in the CAF. Tuesday 15 Nov 2022 I pre arrange the collection of my clothing. Something is not quite correct but I am at a loss to figure out what is wrong. The items fit and are completed as stated by him. He then pleads with me to speak with and then attempts to brow beat me to withdraw my complaint, citing "margins being tight" and "lots of politics" and "competition being fierce". I do not agree to withdraw the complaint I made as I feel somewhat aggrieved at the length of time this has taken and the fact I am having to chase this down. The jacket is actually not correct and I have to take it back to have additions put on the sleeves (a gold braid). 18 Nov 22. I am clearly unhappy at this. I explain my displeasure in a polite way. Mr. **** then raises his voice at me, informing me I am a "child" on three occasions and threatens to speak with my OC and the former OC because I state I am unhappy. He orders me out of his store as though I am an animal.
