I purchased a home in November 2023. Upon moving in, I realized there was mold/discoloration in the seals of my washing machine. On November 17 2023, I called Southern Hills Appliance Repair for advice on how to address the issue. The person on the phone asked me for the serial number on my washing machine, which I provided. He then stated I would need the seal replaced (without ever seeing the machine) and asked me to book a time for a technician to come to my home. We agreed on November 24 2023 as the day of the appointment. Later that day, on November 17 2023, I received a text message from Southern Hills Appliance Repair that they needed to reschedule the appointment, as they actually were not available on the 24th. I replied and said I was not prepared to choose a new date and would contact them in the future if I wanted a new appointment. On November 24th, I received another text message from the company, thanking me for rebooking for the date of November 27th. I replied and said I did not rebook, and to cancel that appointment as I was not available. The company then sent another unsolicited message, indicating I owed them a fee for canceling the appointment, and an additional fee of 15% as they ordered a part that was no longer needed. I replied and told them I would not be paying any fees, as I did not receive any services, agree to any fees, sign any contracts, and the appointment was canceled by them the same day it was made. On November 29th I received another message stating I was being charged 5% interest every 30 days for my "unpaid invoice" and if left unpaid they would take me to collections (METcredit). I responded that I did not agree to any charges, received no services, and would not be paying anything. The company has continued to send messages insisting I owe money, and also have not provided any invoice. I am extremely frustrated. I do not owe this company anything and they need to stop contacting and harassing me.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:I booked with the company for an appointment date of Nov. 24th. The company canceled this appointment due to an error in scheduling they made. I should not be charged ANY fees as a result of this. I have not received any services from this company and have no intention to going forward.
I have 4 children, 2 stepchildren, and a baby on the way. I have 4 different school schedules to work around, a full time job, doctors appointments, home renovations, and am in the middle of moving. I do not have a date in mind that I could rebook, even if I wanted to. If the company had been upfront with me during our initial conversation about the 24th not being available, I would have never booked an appointment. I do not have availability to accommodate a rebook.
I would like all charges removed from my account.
