We have been engaged in a contract with Five Oak Contracting for the last year. Major renovation started at the beginning of July. Not far into the project clear communication with the general contractor became increasingly harder and harder. My husband and I have pretty good communication skills and have exhausted ourselves to the point we just no longer know what to do. We would like to finish this renovation and to come to some sort of resolution with Five Oak contracting. Please see the attached items for more information the renovation and our concerns. It is not my intent to refer to these emails out of context only to provide information about the difficultly we have with communication, see examples below. We did engage in a large home renovation project with ***** and ***** Marshall. The planning portion began in early 2022 with the project getting under way in July. ***** and ***** mentioned in their complaint that communication was an issue. All of our clients have 24/7 access to an online construction management program with unlimited access to all the details of the project as far as files, schedules, daily logs, specs and selections, budgets, updates and photos. They also have full access to communication with ourselves, suppliers and sub-contractors through the program. Throughout the course of the project there were over 600 messages sent and recieved about the project. As well as near daily phone calls and text messages with us, our staff and our subs. The clients were also on site often and communicated with our staff. If communication was an issue I am not sure what more could have been done. On the note of communication we have note recieved a message from ***** and ***** since April 12th, although we have sent 2 messages to them. See below

No email or message was recieved.
Our services to ***** and ***** were and remain suspended since April 5th due to overdue and unpaid invoices.
They have asked for details about the last invoice. I have sent over all of the *** files of sub contractor invoices requested and made available, through our office, all other requested documents. Which was explained to them on April 12th "We have many clients that request to view copies of the invoices [receipts] from suppliers and subs. We complete dozens of projects yearly. Some, as your is, with many, many hard copy receipts and invoices. It is not realistic for our office to scan, save and send all of the invoices we get requests for without charging a fee. So it is a service we do not offer. We ask that to view or copy any paper invoices our clients make an appointment and come into the office to view their file." Which they have never made arrangements for.
