      * ** ********** *** ** ****** ** * ****** *********** **** * ******* In 2021, Best on Top Roofing was, following submission of a successful quote, engaged to replace the roof of ** **** ******* Subsequent to that, Best on Top was asked to quote replacement of the ** ****** roof for 2022, along with another vendor, with the plan to then replace the roofs of ** ****** *** ** ***** over the course of 2023 and 2024. In Spring of 2022, Best on Top was again the successful bidder, and work was awarded for replacement of the ** roof in Spring 2022, and a deposit of $********* was paid on June 23, 2022, with the intention of completing the work in the Summer of 2022. In the interim, Best on Top had also been awarded roof drain repairs to all buildings on an as needed basis, following drainage issues that became evident during Christmas 2021. That work was awarded in approximately February 2022. Through the Spring and Summer of 2022, Best on Top was unable to provide a date that roof drain repairs could be completed, or if a date was scheduled, they were not able to attend for reportedly various reasons. There were reported labour issues, excuses by employees that they had other jobs when they were to be on site, and included a report that their truckload of materials was allegedly stolen while travelling from the United States and if they could not get materials, they could not replace the roof until 2023 due to the weather required for the work. The Strata had too many excuses from Best on Top and the Strata has lost confidence in Best on Top and wants their deposit back, given that Best on Top has still not completed any work now 8 months later, and the Strata doubts that they will attend in the Spring* **** ** *** *** **** ********** **** **** **** ******* ***** ********** *** *** ****** ****** ***** ***** ******* ***** *** ** **** ** ********* ********

      Last May (2022), this company installed our new roof. It was not well installed, and drip edge was half installed. We called to complain and the lead hand came to inspect and saw the faulty installation. We were promised by the owner a reinstallation in December but nothing. Now, roof in the car port is leaking, the drip edge is still not installed and nobody is responding to emails. Very disappointed with the work and service. Thinking small claims court to resolve the issue as $** *** was paid for nothing. ********* *** *** **** ** ** ******* *** *******. We would like to request a refund or redo/finish the job.

      We entered into a contract with Best on Top Roofing in early 2022 for the replacement of our roof (sheeting where required, and shingles). *** *** ******** ********* *** ***** *************** ****** Best on Top completed the roof in August 2022 with the following deficiencies: * a hammer had dropped through to the master bedroom ceiling which required repair * gutters were not cleaned out after roof finished, repairs not quoted * downspouts on second story not extended as per quote * some main level gutters damaged by ladder access and not fixed * gutter guard not replaced after roof finished * warranty paperwork not yet received Since August we have been attempting to resolve these issues with Best on Top. So far, the progress is as follows: * some new downspouts were delivered in Oct/Nov. Gutter contractor came out during first week of Jan 2023 unannounced, no follow up since then. Awaiting quote / communications on when gutters/downspouts/leaf guard will be finalized. Since Aug the second story downspouts have been draining directly onto the shingles, which will decrease the lifetime of these shingles and cause moss to grow. * Best on Top provided drywall repair and painting, but paint does not match. Entire ceiling will need repainting. We have a quote from an independent contractor for **** to paint the ceiling, am waiting for approval from Best on Top to proceed and direct bill. * ** ******** *********** ******** ** *** * *** ************ ************ We want this work to be finished so that the roof does not get compromised by completion delay. We have provided notice that we will be filing a BBB complaint by Dec 31, then waited an additional two weeks before actually doing so, hoping that the company would respond.

       I am rejecting this response because:

      * No action or communication has occurred regarding the ceiling paint since 2022-Sep-07.

      * No action or communication has occurred regarding the warranty documentation since 2022-Aug-07 when Best on Top informed us that they would register the warranty.  No documentation has been received.

      * Downspouts need to be attended to in a timely manner (even if temporary while the final solution is determined) to prevent moss and wear on shingles.  Most of the old downspouts have blown off since they were not properly attached nor extended.  This has been a known issue since 2022-Aug and is still not complete.

      * Gutters should be cleaned ASAP to prevent damming and ice penetration back into the roof.  Unknown if damage has occurred already due to this.

      I entered into a contract with Best on Top Roofing for a new roof, skylights, roof vents, gutter system the end of April 2022..I paid a $**** deposit ** * **** ***…I was told in person and by phone they were currently working into the end of June through July 2022,..I said that was no problem,..I was renovating anyway…I received a call from the office late June telling me 3 weeks…I called the office the end of July,..I was again told 3 weeks…I called each month after that for an update,..I was told 3 weeks each time…I received a call from the office with a date of October 18th for my project…They did not come,..they did not call…I called the office,..spoke with Dan, he said the scheduler would call me back right away…He did not…I called again the next day Oct 20,..I was told by their scheduler, there were 4 metal roofs ahead of me and he had to wait for the metal saw?…They only had 4 guys that did metal roofs…Everyone was in the same boat?…I would be after the 4 ahead of me,..mine would be maybe 10 days or so… I didn’t hear from them again…At this point I felt I needed only written communication…I sent a formal request for an update on my project on December 6,..with no response after 10 business days… I sent a formal request for the return of my ***** deposit on January 2,..2023, with a remittance date of January 16th,..2023…I have received no response… There is nothing in my contract noting nonrefundable deposits, nor is there a timeline noted, however,..after over 8 months of no contract service coupled with a complete failure to provide communication,..has resulted in unreasonable delay… I had increasing concerns about the health of this companies ability to do my project ***** ******* * ****** ****** ****** ****** *** ***** **** ********* I have been very patient and understanding about missed deadlines etc.,This delay and lack of communication is far in excess of reasonable delay…I need to be able to move forward with another company…I need my deposit back…

      I arranged to have my roof replaced in April of 2022. ***** ****** took a $10,000 deposit from me, guaranteeing my roof would be replaced during summer. I contacted ****** (salesman) for updates throughout summer, as Best on Top was constantly missing their installation dates. I was reassured each time that my roof would be replaced. Finally, in October, when it was obvious that my roof was not going to be replaced, I asked for my deposit back. I was told by both the owner (Dan) and ****** the salesman that it would be up to 60 days to get my deposit back. 60 days is up today, and Dan has not been returning calls or replying to texts.

      On March 24, 2022, the clients ***** * ******* ******** **** *** ***** ********** *** entered into a contract with Best On Top Roofing Company to re-roof our home. As part of the contract the clients agreed to the Company's request of a deposit of $6,900.00 and told that the roofing would be done late June 2022. Subsequently, the Company failed to re-roof the clients' home by October 20, 2022. The clients demanded their entire deposit of $6,900.l00 be refunded. As of November 30, 2022 the Company has not refunded the money and refuses to acknowledge the clients' demand for the return of the deposit monies.

      ** **** ** ******* ********* *** ******** ***** *********** ************* ******************** I hired Best on Top Roofing, Dan Perpeluk, owner, to replace my old roof with new roof, Sept. 2/22 the roof was replaced, and I paid 11,800 Dollars in cash. The new shingles were placed over big holes and rotten out plywood. which is in violation of contract. Dan refused to replace rotten out and with holes covered plywood, insisting it is repaired the correct way. I contacted a Home Inspector, report was produced, Oct. 3/22 and proof of poor roofing job. Dan refused and stalled to fix my roof. Eventually Dan agreed to take out 1 rotten out with a big hole the size of a toilet seat, plywood piece and replace it with a new one. Next day I discovered many more areas with rotten out plywood, and told Dan to replace it. He refused and stalled. I begged him please to fix my roof before the rain, cold, and snow. He refused and stalled. Finally workers removed the new shingles and replaced a few rotten out plywood pieces, but didn't finish to put shingles back on my roof. I told them rain is coming, workers assured me my roof is 100% waterproof and safe. Lots of rain soon after, soaked the new plywood which wasn't protected by the heavy rain. Water gushing down my front porch ceiling, gutter, and garage wall. Clogged up gutter and pipe overflowing with lots of water. Leaky roof and gutter resulted in property damage. $Estimate: $2000 or more $ to fix my water filled garage wall. Now I have a wet crawl space and water in my garage wall. Workers exposed my roof, Oct. 24/22. Garage wall is full of water, crawl space is wet. $ 2000 damage now. Workers came back to put new shingles on over soaked with water plywood, which voids the warranty. Other roofing company stated whole roof must be replaced again, not safe! I need to put a tarp over my whole roof to protect my house from water damage. I need to get my money back so I can get my roof replaced by another roofing company.
