      Dear ******** ********,

As stated in the release letter that you provided, this account has been paid and General Credit transmitted that information to the credit bureaus in 2022. Your credit report should show that you have paid and indicate that you have $0.00 owing. The inscription will remain on your credit history for a period of 6 years since the date of last payment. If you are not seeing the $0.00 balance on your credit report, please send us a screenshot and we will have it corrected.

I am rejecting this response because:

      Dear **** ******,CCO

To my understanding if I payed within the 48 hours of notice it would not be reflected on my credit and It should not stay on my inscription for a period of 6 years. Thats what was explained to me by a credit advisor, thats why that letter was sent to me to begin with so it could be removed from my credit history since I paid it off within the timeframe of notice so its should have never been applied to my credit. This has been affecting my credit and has been making my life hard to get credit approval for anything and I would like it removed. I was told that if I paid it right away it wouldnt affect my credit however it did and that was a lot of money to be paid on short notice and under pressure by agent who was handling my account. If I knew it was not accurate then I would have just paid it in instalments since it would affect my credit score either way.I just need it to be removed from my report cause it still shows ***** on my account and it says I missed 3 payment in 2023 month of may and thats inaccurate since I paid them off in 2022.I would like the account to be closed and to stop reporting no payment or late payment when the bill was dealt with 2 years ago ********* well as, it wasn't even my account , i had got the phone for a previously partner and because I had good credit or  a credit history I did him a favour by getting the phone for him but he missed a lot payments and then ghosted me and I had to take the decision to close the account with ***** and pay what was owed and remaining balance of contract agreement . And now I'm the one being penalized for it since its my credit that was used . I'm just looking for a fresh start and just want this fully removed from my credit , I don't want it to remain there for 6 years please.I tried to insert pictures with a file but it won't load but it shows that on my credit report that i have missed 4 payments with ***** in 2023 when i dont have an account with them and payed of my debt in 2022.

      Dear ******** ********,

This account was under your name and ***** received a payment on July 13, 2022. Since they did not receive payment after this date, they sent your account to ******************** on November 14, 2022. Your account was already reported by ***** at this point, and they are the ones who added the missed payments on your credit report. When General Credit received your account, we reported the unpaid balance. When you paid the account, we reported it as paid. Today, if you see General Credit Services on your credit report, it should show a balance of $0.00. We abide by the credit reporting regulations as they are set in each Canadian province by consumer services. General Credit will not alter a consumer's credit history under any circumstances. We suggest that you consult with your local *************************** and they will confirm the regulations with you.

Someone needs to do something either you or ***** , there should be no reason as to why I am being reported for late payments in 2023 when i paid it off in 2022 . That is effecting my credit score and i will not tolerate it .Look carefully at the attachments and let me know why is ***** reporting late payments in 2023 and after the date of payment in 2022. that is illegal since I've paid it off. Its either you didn't communicate with ***** til that date to let them know it had not been paid off or miscommunication betwen both but i will not be the victim of this . According to the Credit Karma extract that you have provided, it clearly shows that ***** is reporting this account. ********************** is not mentioned; therefore, General Credit has no say in what is being reported. In fact, we cannot send a request to have this entry altered or removed because it does not belong to General Credit. We cannot assist you because the entry on your credit report must be made by our company to proceed with any kind of request.
We recommend that you speak with ***** about this entry or dispute it directly with Trans Union.

I had been contacted by Credit Services *** January of 2024 about a ***** account that I had an over dude amount owing of $191.35. I made the payment to Credit Services ***. shortly after on January 4th 2024. I sent $191.35 via my banking app to the payee of General Credit Services with the account number attached to my file; ********. Six Months later I received an email from another collections agency; ARM regarding the exact same ***** account number; *********. As I had already paid this account balance to ******************************************* ***. I obviously had concern with the second collections agency coming after me. I contacted ***** regarding this situation and was told they would sort it out. A weeks later time they left me a message on my voicemail stating I must deal with Credit Services *** on my own. I then contacted Credit Services ***. regarding the issue and came to the conclusion with the customer service agent that I had in fact paid someone elses debt. Account number; ********. As this was the account number I was given through email thread with Credit Services ***. I requested they rectify this situation with ***** and the new collections Agency: ARM. I had attached all of my email threads to ***** and Credit Services ***. with all the information and proof of payment and have received zero confirmation that any actions are being taken to fix this problem. I have sent numerous emails to Credit Services *** and the agent there that was initially assigned to my case and have gotten no response from anyone. Subject: Formal Rejection of Response and Immediate Request for Removal of Credit Report Item

      Dear Enzo Scenna, CCO,

I am formally rejecting your response. It has been two months since this issue has appeared on my credit report, and it is deeply concerning that your office has yet to provide the necessary documentation to substantiate the reporting. As a responsible agent, such documentation should have been readily available at the time the report was made. The ongoing delay is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable, especially given the negative impact this error has had on my credit profile.

In accordance with fair reporting practices, if you cannot promptly provide the proper documentation, the credit bureau must remove this information immediately. It is unreasonable to expect further delays for a matter that should have been resolved within the standard reporting period. As such, I am demanding that this item be removed from my credit report without further delay.

Please consider this my final notice on the matter. I will not grant any further extensions or allowances.

      Sincerely,
      Danny Bergeron

      Complaint: 22297377

Subject: Formal Rejection of Debt Collection Attempt

      Dear Enzo Scenna, CCO,

I am writing to formally reject your recent communication regarding the debt in question, as well as the attached letter of authorization. Upon reviewing the authorization document, I have identified a significant discrepancy in the date. The letter is dated October 16, 2024, which further undermines the legitimacy of this claim and raises serious concerns about its timing and validity.

As I have previously stated, this debt has appeared on my credit report without proper substantiation, and your office has yet to provide the necessary documentation to support this report. I HAD GAVE A TIME LIMIT AND NOT RESPECTED ALSO. In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act and fair credit reporting practices, if you are unable to provide proper documentation within a reasonable period, the credit bureau is legally required to remove the entry from my credit report.

Additionally, it is important to highlight that without proper validation of the debt or the original terms, any collection activity, including attempts to add fees or request payment, would be in violation of federal and provincial laws governing debt collection.

Given the ongoing lack of proper documentation and the procedural errors, I am formally requesting that this account be removed from my credit report immediately and that you cease all further collection activities. Please consider this my final notice, and failure to comply may result in further legal action to protect my consumer rights.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

      Sincerely,
      Danny Bergeron
