My husband and I ordered a 2022 Ford Explorer from the dealership in March 2022. We picked it up in June 2022. Upon picking it up we were notified that it did not have the second row climate controls or the second row seat control buttons. They gave us a credit of $200 for this and projected that these items would be available for install within 6-9 months. We reached out to the dealership a few times to enquire about these items. The end of March 2023 I reached out to Ford Canada who said that the parts were on back order and we just needed to continue to wait. At the same time I reached out to Courtesy Ford and they indicated that they are not able to get these parts for "already built vehicles". We were encouraged to reach out to Ford Canada, which I already had done. It is now 10 months and we have no communication about when we will get our parts. This is unacceptable business. We believe we can find the parts for purchase outside of Ford Canada.Initial Complaint

I was in the market to trade in my vehicle. I contacted Courtesy Ford Lincoln to get the buyout information and was told that it would be $41,402.17 plus HST. After making a deal with another dealer based on the $41,402.17 buyout, the dealer contacted Courtesy Ford Lincoln to make payment and was told that the buyout is $43,402.17 plus HST. This caused me to be $2000 out of pocket in order for the deal to be whole. Recently I check the statement on fords website and it showed a $41,402.17 plus HST payment for the buyout, yet they were paid $43,402.17 plus HST. Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/05/03) */ Upon review of the situation noted, it is difficult to determine in what context the original verbal information request was made. (i.e. balance inquiry, payout in conjunction with a new lease or, a third party buyout). The requested information and the final amount paid could differ as it is common industry practice to charge an administration fee to a lease buyout, when that buyout is completed through a non-originating dealership.
