On January 10, 2022 I had one of their technicians come out to fix my aluminum framed door as well as help seal around it and the window at the front. In total I paid $2,951.00 for this service but was never given promised written quotes or an itemized receipt which was to be sent to me the following days after the service. The most annoying of issues though is 1 the technician never came back to inspect his work as promised, as well as 2 I pointed out the door sweep was catching and cracking before he left though he said it would be fine. The door sweep has now since kept cracking and pieces have fallen off resulting in clear air passage from inside to outside the building. Upon attempts to contact the business to inquire about quotes and receipts, I was told they would be sent repeatedly, but yet today there is still nothing from the company. I do not wish for them to come fix the issue because I do not believe the work will be up to par. I am asking for reimbursement of what the cost of solar the door service would entail so that I may get another company to fix the issue.

November 21, 2021 I contacted this business through a phone number on the internet about an object caught in a sliding glass door that was preventing it from closing. They said they could fix the problem and would send a technician. The technician arrived and I showed him exactly what the problem was. he removed the door, I retrieved the object, he put the door back on within half an hour. No parts were required. He presented me with a credit card machine with an amount entered of $1045.25. I objected to the amount. He said I had to pay and he would send me a detailed invoice. He made some reference to an insurance charge. I paid under protest. No invoice arrived and after several calls it finally arrived and said simply 'Door Repair $925' which, with hst totalled the $1045.25. After numerous calls, I was connected with a woman who said the breakdown was "$125 Service fee", $450 Labour" and $350 Insurance". She said the charges were standard in the industry, including the service fee which she said was for travel time and that an insurance charge of this nature is also standard. I asked if their company was a BBB member and she said they were. The invoice is dated 9 days after the service, which makes it clear that the tecnician had no intention of sending me an invoice on the evening of the service as he had said he would. I would like to know if these charges are standard in the industry, particularly the insurance charge and the labour cost, which translates to about $1,000 per hour. ***********************; the address is different than the **** slip. In numerous calls to several different numbers I was given a third address of ** ****** Drive. The phone number on the invoice is the one I have been using. I would not have been surprised with a labour charge in the $250-300 range and do not feel the insurance charge is fair. I report this in part because of the misrepresentations about providing a detailed invoice and the BBB membership.
