I ordered x 2 ******* bag water filters. I received correspondence telling me my product was on the way and to download an app to track the shipment. After downloading the app it requested access to my contact list. Why is that required? I deleted the app. Next I receive notice that the products are not in stock but they would ship when it's in stock again. They could not provide me with a timeline for it to be in stock. I canceled my order and they notified me they would send the request to finance department. After waiting 7 days I again asked where the refund was. They replied they're waiting for finance. I escalated the issue with ****** and got it the same day.Review from Cameron R

I ordered 2 items in February 2023. The company shipped only 1 item a month later. They didn't communicate at all, but after my numerous emails answered that the second item had been shipped. I waited for one more month. And just yesterday, after my next call, they refunded me for the second item saying that it is put of stock. They cannot send me a return ticket for the first thing but it is a matching thing. I don't need it without its pair. What I want is a full refund as the company didn't meet my expectations, they didn't communicate properly, they ******* about the shipping period. * ***** ***** ** ** *** *** ********* ****** ** ********Review from James I

I ordered an item that is limited production (rare) and out of stock on quite literally every other retailer on the market. Hero Outdoors listed the item as "In Stock" on their website. The item is $284.34 USD . . . not cheap. I e-mailed them IMMEDIATELY after I placed my order to cancel. I received no response. I called both their listed phone numbers. No one picked up. Several days later, I receive a separate email from them stating that the item is no longer in stock and if I would like a refund or if I would prefer store credit with an extra 10% added. I requested a refund. Their response (which was immediate) stated the following: "Hey *****, I have sent your request to our finance team, If you are denied a refund we will contact you at that time, Please Note Credit card refunds can take some time to surface on your card. Chrissy - Hero Outdoors" If I am denied a refund? In what world would that be the case? A few days after that I received an email stating that I have been PARTIALLY refunded. Which I was. They kept 5% of my purchase total. Of course I followed this up with several unanswered emails and phone calls to dead phone numbers. I purchased the adult size version of the popular *** ***** air rifle. Instead, I was sent the regular youth size model. As soon as I received my package, I worriedly noted the box housing the rifle was missing the "Adult Size" text to indicate its deviation from the original, smaller model. To further confirm this was the wrong item, I carefully peeled back the tape and was met with the thin stock of the youth size rifle. I promptly emailed Hero Outdoors letting them know that I received the wrong product. They replied quite timely asking to send pictures. I sent back an image of the box and the SKU as asked. The fun part here is that I was then told the SKU matches their system's listing of the Adult version of the rifle. I was confused so I looked into the Manufacturer’s listing (Daisy) regarding the discrepancy. I gently challenge the claim and note the manufacturer's listing of the adult model measures 36.75" while the youth model measures 35.4". I examine the box to confirm I’ve not lost my mind and what do you know, the overall length is 35.4". Replying courteously that I believe their system is wrong, a link to the manufacturer page and picture of the box with the measurement, I requested a refund. It has been 5 business days since their last reply and I have been following up every other day for some kind of resolution with no response. The person on the other end used to reply within two hours and now I am met with the cold shoulder. I ask, is it up to the customer to take the hit when the store clearly got the item wrong? I get there will be mix ups in any working environment however the lack of accountability or acknowledgement from a store that has been around for three generations shows little to no professionalism or responsibility you would expect from a business with that much history. Furthermore, I suggest anyone reading this to search elsewhere for another retailer that will respect your time and hard earned dollar.Review from Damion T

**** **** **** ****** **** ******* Ordered a used ***... wish I didnt. They tossed everything into a box with no protective packaging. The **** * metal mags, HPA tapped mag adapter, regulator, mock suppressor, flashlight and a HPA tank all left to bounce around causing the HPA tapped mag to break. I spent 600 dollars and hero couldn't even use old newspaper to at least try to stop items from breaking. I was able to glue the mag back together but who knows how well that will hold. Further more the *** has firing issues jamming up after every few rounds and the front hopup plate falls off as it has a broken tension arm. From what I recall this was not mentioned in the ad. Avoid purchasing from hero's used airsoft section unless you go in person, where the quality can be seen first hand and shipping can be avoided. ******** ** ****** ********. Zero communications whatsoever. Emails were never responded and you can't even call them (tried both numbers on their website).
Items I ordered were not in stock but no one from the store even bothered to let me know. I needed the item right away as I was going out of the country. After about a month, they claimed the item is being shipped from their warehouse (even though they said max 20 business days on their website). I had to make a ****** dispute claim from this store, and sure enough, 1 day before the ****** dispute closing date, they decided to finally ship my items, but they didn't even bother apologizing or sending me an email.
Such garbage customer service..nonexistent really. Plus you can't even return any items to their store as it was their 'policy'.Review from Brent W

Wish I would have seen the reviews before ordering. After I paid for my order, I called and got a hold of someone seemed to be decent customer service on adding an item to save on shipping. Paid for both orders on April 4 and April 6. Since getting my money however customer service has been atrocious, no response online and calling hasn't seemed to help either and my order is still "awaiting fulfillment" whatever that means. I Ordered a ******* Red dot sight Hero stated it was in Stock ready to ship. after waiting a week it hadn't shipped I tried to phone no answer so I emailed after about 7 days i got a reply stating they had ordered from the supplier.************************************* I have turned this over to ******* for a Refund ************************************************************Review from Brendon P

***************************************************** I am a first responder and purchased a stat gear auto rescue tool for the sole purpose of saving lives. I explained the situation to them and that I needed it ASAP, they stated that I would receive it in no more than 34 business days. Well 4 months later I still received nothing and no answer to emails and phone calls. I had to get ****** involved to get my money back. These guys wouldn't even respond to them when I started my case. ****** ruled in my favour and returned my money. Hero Outdoors then had the audacity to send me an email that THEY were returning my money. They are not honourable people and clearly care more about themselves than the safety of others.
