On October 10, 2022 the contractor/owner and I signed a "Memorandum of Understanding' The purpose of this agreement was to document payment of $3,000 in exchange for detailed plans for building a "Tiny House:. Extensions for the completion date were granted while the contractor worked out some personal issues. In December, the contractor approached me and proposed I offer an additional deposit of $10,000, the argument being the contractor would be able to amass additional 'Tiny Home' financing based on a plan to build multiple buildings at a single time. (Thinks ****, mass producing assembly line cars). For 5 months we met weekly for updates. Both contracts provided a refund of money if the conditions are not met. I never received any plans. and In addition the contractor informed me that he had been presented with an opportunity to budling a series of 'tiny homes' that did not include mine. From then on, I was ghosted, no meetings, no responses to emails or text messages. I have nothing to show for my $13,000 and I am unsure what the contractor thinks he has accomplished. I promoted the 'Tiny Home' proposal on nextdoor.com, and around our small town, and he knows I have proof of sending monies to the contactor. Perhaps the contractor simply wanted to **** me, but we'd had numerous conversations about using my 'Tiny Home' as a learning curve AND to promote his business. Regardless, he has burnt his bridges by ghosting me and any plans he may have had for Northumberland are now wasted.Initial Complaint

We hired ****** ********** in the Spring of 2020, who was formerly the owner of ***** ******** ***********, now called Buildx, to do extensive landscaping in our backyard to remedy a very poor drainage issue. The work included underground and surface drainage measures, a massive retaining wall, interlock patio and regrading and sodding. The job had several delays and the work commenced July 2020 until they called a stop to it in late September 2020 to move to another job. Our project had a 2 year warranty attached to it which would commence once fully completed abd a full walk through was done on the project. We had concerns with low areas on the patio, poor sod and concerns with lack of topsoil used beneath the sod. We were told in late September 2020 to let everything settle over the winter and they would come back in Spring 2021 to walk the property and fix any issues before we signed off on the project. In Spring 2021, we contacted them and waited for them to return. There were definitely still concerns with bad, unrolled sod and lack of topsoil underneath and water puddling in several areas on the patio. It had been a milder winter thus we were able to keep water from pooling around the foundation. Our project concerns came on deaf ears as they said they had done all they were hired to do and our concerns were not warranty issues. They leveled a couple areas on our patio and brought a bag of topsoil and seed to try to remedy bad patches of soil and said the property had already been rolled several times (not true) and they were done with our project. We were tired of arguing and signed off on the project, thus our two year warranty commenced. A harsh winter 2021/22 brought major Soring thaw and water seepage into our basement from the pooling around the foundation on our patio. The very reason we hired them. We reached out February 2022 the Company now Buildx, to have our patio fixed, they would honor warranty & as of August 23rd 2022 we are still waiting.Initial Complaint
