Engaged KRCMAR Land Surveyors to: * prepare an up-to-date boundary survey and plan of the properties illustrating boundary dimensions, the location and setbacks of all buildings and other structures, the location of fences, retaining walls, walkways, driveways & parking areas; * Conduct up-to-date title search at the Land Registry Office and illustrate the location of any registered easements or right-of-way's affecting the properties The problem is that the LSG / KRCMAR survey markers were clearly in the pavement of the laneway which didn't align with the city survey. Both my neighbour and I installed the fence posts at a cost of $5,000 as a result of the survey. The city disputes the boundary and issued a stop work order, so we could not complete the securing of our properties. A dispute between the LSG / KRCMAR and city survey team ensued. We as residents are stuck in the middle of this disagreement with no resolution besides court. This is not realistic as it is cost prohibitive As a result, we have few alternatives but to lodge a complaint with BBB and lodge a complaint with our city Councilor, ***** ******** and the mayor **** ****. There appears to be no accountability in the Land Survey business. We attempted to encourage the city and the surveyors to resolve the dispute and only after many unreturned calls, escalations, months delay from LSG / KRCMAR we moved the fenceposts as requested by the city, but at additional cost / time to us. LSG / KRCMAR only responded meaningfully to the city in late December after the fenceposts had been moved and refused to have any accountability or provide compensation to us as a customer.
