Quoted me for a lower price then gave me a much higher one I asked them to come for 4.30pm on Jan 2, 2023 and they showed up at 5pm. Original quote said the move would be $75 an hour with a $50 gas fee and a minimum of $250 but when the movers came they took a $260 deposit which I thought would be all. Included a 15% service fee, charged me a flights of stairs fee and a heavy item fee. After loading, the movers told me there was a minimum charge of 4 hours but originally told me the minimum would be $250 and the move also took less than 2 hours and they showed up half an hour late. None of these additional charges of the 4 hour term was stated in my original quote. I was stressed because they were late and I had to move on that day. Paid under duress because they threatened to throw my things out.

I contacted this company, and Ray spoke to me for a few days. I decided to give them a moving business for a charity organization office move. 2 guys at $45/hr, or because I asked for 3 guys for $70/hr, we agreed on the time. I was told I could pay by check or e-transfer. I got a text they would only take cash; email is not working (tip #1). The driver started calling me a private number in the morning (tip #2). When the mover and the guys came, they gave me paperwork to sign only after you gave a deposit (tip #3). I read it and saw $45, 3 men, stair fee, heavy item fee (tip #4). I asked questions; the driver said it's whatever Ray had agreed with; I am just paying a deposit (tip #5). They asked for $350. Then once they finished loading, they asked for another $250, cash only, I obliged (tip#6). We are going and where we are is a 5 mins drive away. When the guy got to the light, he turned right rather than left (tip #7). I followed him and asked if everything was OK, then he said they wanted to get food, fair enough.

5 mins later, he came with a bill of $1700, saying the boss asked me to pay; otherwise, they would not move (tip #8); I called and asked for Ray, they said they could not find him; he was on the plane etc. I begged; they wanted $1000 extra cash. I said I don't have much; they asked me to collect on my credit card, bank card, ask a friend. My friend said he could send them a $400 e transfer; they refused; the driver said he was not moving but could drive to Mississauga to pick up the cash.

After 2 hours, I gave up and left!!!!, they called me to come with an additional $400, so they could move my stuff back to the original location, I refused!. I told them I would pay $400 if they dropped my things at the destination.

Next thing, they offloaded some of our stuff into the parking lot and ran away!. I am still waiting to get items back; they are no longer picking up their calls or responding to texts!

********************************** this was the worst experience ever I had a small move from whitby to courtice 15 mins drive. I was quoted 45/hr plus 45/ travel fee. he asked how long I need it I said 1 hr it's only 1 trip. when the guys arrive he said he needed a 300 deposit which and he would return whatever the difference was. they proceeded to load my items as I went to the bank came back and gave him the deposit he came back with the paperwork which said there were 3 men extra charge and a minimum 4 hr charge plus travel fee. Don't know how they came up with the math but said I owed them another 300. so 600 for a hour move. I called the police but there was nothing they could do and we didn't want the drama of having the police come to my 80 year old mother in laws house to ensure they unloaded our belongings. ********************************** Jonathan the guy I booked woth didn't care and hung up on me the driver was cold and had no problem taking money from my 80 year old mother in law who recently lost her husband hence why we were moving there for 500.
