I was appointed a car rental through **** **** ******* using their authorized vendor, Affinity Luxury Car Rentals on December 22nd 2022. I picked up the car and had the car in my possession for 2 months while ******* diagnosed and fixed my new car. I returned the car rental to Affinity on February 22nd 2023 and was told there would be no extra charges since ******* was covering the cost of rental. However I was charged $500 by Affinity a few later without my knowledge or anyone reaching out to me about the charge. There is no proof of their claim and yet Affinity claimed I smoked in the car and therefore they had to change the cabin air filters. I did NOT smoke in the car. I have explained to Affinity that up until 3 weeks ago I was a budtender at a legal cannabis dispensary and therefore had to conduct deliveries and transported marijuana products in the vehicle, hence the slight scent. No smoking was done in the vehicle. I tried to explain this to Affinity and they are still arguing that I smoked in the vehicle. When in fact the vehicle wasn't clean when given to me, and I had the car professionally cleaned before I returned it. *** ** * ***** ************* *** ** ***** *** ***** ****** **** ***** ** ***** ***** *** *********** * ***** *** * ********** ** *** ********** I spoke to at Affinity Car Rental said nothing could be done and accused me of smoking in the car which, again, I DID NOT! As a someone who's been working customer service and hospitality for 16 years, this in not an appropriate way to handle customers. ******* ******** *** ****** ******* **** ***** *** **** **** **** *** * **** *** ** ********* ** ************** *** ******* ********* To wrongfully claim the occupant was smoking in the car is inappropriate and I would like a resolution regarding this matter because Affinity Car Rental refuses to help me.
