      Hired Colossal Foundation and Repair Inc. we had a verbal agreement, they backed out of the verbal agreement and suddenly their work is not guaranteed. I was told over and over again that the work was guaranteed and they suddenly do not guarantee their work because we had a conflict. I was incorrectly advised about installing a sump pump, I needed a dehumidifier not a sump pump paid $**** and now they will not come back to install the power cord for the sump pump properly, I was advised that they would come back with a staple gun and deal with the cord, which is a tripping hazard over two weeks ago. They never return phonecalls because they consider me "hostile" but after so many ignored calls a person can only take so much of being ignored especially when I paid for a service and received such sloppy service from Colossal - 4 times they had to comeback to fill missed cracks in my foundation. My nightmare started with Colossal beginning of May 2024 and now August and still not finished and no communication. Also they broke a wardrobe and will not attempt to fix or replace it - at first they never even acknowledged the wardrobe and just ignored my requests. **** said he could and would fix the wardrobe that was over a week ago said he would come by in Monday, August 27, 2024 and again, no show up and no communication. They charged me $*** for grading, which I was never advised of that price, and they never added enough yellow clay and I had to hire a second person to do the job right. With the grading they said the price was all worked in, not truthful at all. I also want them to honor their so called guarantee. One says yea we guarantee and the other says no!! Which is it? *** *** **** ********* **** ***** I would also like the money for the grading returned to me as I had to hire and buy more clay for the grading as that was also poorly completed and they were not truthful with the price in the beginning. **** **** ********* ** ** ***** * *************

      I dont honestly understand what she means by “guarentee”. We installed braces and patched cracks. The braces installed were installed properly. The cracks were all patched and we went back and patched them everytime she called. None of the crack patching was a waterproof and I was EXTREMELY clear about that. 

      Every single time we left her house it was spotless. The sump pit was not installed from Colossal. The arrangements made through **** and **** had nothing to do with Colossal. 

      If I (*****) am not made aware it is not Colossal. I’ve explained absolutely every detail of our plan with her for approval before I did any work. I explained every cost before I even touched any work. I have employee witnesses as well. 

      The wardrobe was not broken from us, as she was receiving free help from my team to rearrange her entire basement FULL of miscellaneous items for several hours. She handed it to a worker and said “be careful as this one is broken”. We also did free concrete work and patched all exterior cracks as well for free. We did alot for free and im not surprised nothing of the truth was mentioned at all. 

      The constant harassement and slander/defamation and abuse is why we refuse to go back to her house. 

      She still has a balance of ******** in taxes. We will write this invoice off and pay the taxes but we will not return. The job is finished. *** ******* **** ** ** ***** ** *** ******************* **********

      I purchased a home in Regina in May 2022. Prior to purchase, I was given a quote from Colossal Foundation Repair Inc. via my realtor, which described "lift house until level" for $5550.00. I was told that this job would take one afternoon, and require only slight "mudding and patching." I paid a 50% deposit. After starting the project in June 2022, I was surprised by the destruction of my ceiling (which Colossal says they discussed with the previous owner, but failed to discuss with me), and news that a second room would have to be cleared and have its ceiling removed as well. After so many delays and miscommunications, I have been told by second opinions that this intervention will not solve the tilt of the house, and that the real intervention will cost 10X more. I now have two rooms that require new ceilings, and an engineer confirmed that other interventions are instead recommended. I have asked Colossal to come and remove all their items from the house. I have lost my tenants, who were so distressed about the mess caused by the ceiling removal and bedroom rearrangements done by Colossal, both of which I was not informed of before taking on this project. Other professionals have noted the ceiling pieces could not simply be put back as they were, and now I have to take on an additional project I would not have agreed to. There was no appropriate discussion of these factors between the company and myself as the current owner. I would like BBB to assist me in this dispute, as I have paid money and now have to take on a much bigger project because of being misinformed. Their team would enter and leave the property without notifying me at times outside those specified, put items on tenant's bed without permission, leave the project without phoning me when the door was locked (I could easily come down and unlock it to let them in), and delay the project for weeks. I am hoping that BBB can assist me in navigating this difficult situation. Thank you.

First off, this customer hasnt came to us at all asking for any type of dispute before coming to complain online. We would have gladly resolved this before hand. The only reason we had to go back several time and the customers were asked to remove the bedroom items was so that we didnt damage any of the property in the bedroom. The people were told we had to remove the ceiling because it was needed for the work that we were doing. I did discuss this with the previous owners and he knew every detail of the process. It was out mistake in thinking that it would be discussed before purchasing a home. We would inform the at time tenant anytime we were leaving and coming. Homeowner came the first day and had told us that we could contact the tenant (her friend) when done. We in no way have been difficult to deal with and my phone is always open! I have answered every single question asked honestly. She also had 3 different people communicating with me for her, so it was difficult to be sure which one was actually making decision. As you can see in the message below I told her we had to remove ceiling and I also told her when I showed up. Ill gladly refund her money and I would have prior to a complaint as well if she had the decency to come to me first!
