singed a contract for a roof with Prestige in September 23 and paid down 50%. We were told we were the first job for the spring. In April, ***** showed up to ******** employer and said roof would be started the first week of May. Three weeks later ******* contacted ***** and was told that they had started another roof and got behind and were waiting for the next weather window to start our roof. Several weather windows passed, we reached out again and again were told they were waiting for weather window. Prestige finally came July 8th and upon starting the roof found that there was rot that required more work and material. July 16th shutney let ***** know that the roof was being turned in to insurance but that they should start the work and we would pay up front and wait for insurance to reimburse us. ******* requested a new BID from *****. he said he would get it ready ASAP and that the foot hold in the roof be removed and shingles replaced while pending next steps. This has still never happened today. July 23rd shutney texted ***** asking if he was able to prepare the Bid. No response. July 29th shutney texted asking what was going on. ***** said we needed to pay an additional 50% deposit plus ship the materials up and that a change order had been emailed to us. No change order was emailed. We requested it again and did not receive it. Shutney told ***** we would get him a check asap and ***** said that he would get us the Bid. August 2nd shutney again asked for the bid, not providing a 50% deposit yet because a bid had not been received. ***** said he was too busy to get the bid out but would have it out the next day. August 4th shutney texted for the bid. ***** became angry and told shutney to find someone else to do the roof and that he would provide an itemized receipt, relinquish materials and provide refund. We received materials and itemized receipt August 20th but no refund. ******* asked for the refund check on August 22nd and ***** did not respond.
