Bought in nov 2022, they sent someone out to fix issue, found a gap where the home was not properly put together, after months of complaints finally got that taken care of , rain coming through doors , put up storms doors, not properly align up , had to have dining room floor replaced, now its sinking,refuses to come back and fix, windows have gaps, floors have pop loose I assume from the trailer its mounted too. Left trim off, trim coming off where they replaced, left glue on the floors, its blame game , from Austins in central city and back to Addison , ceiling cracked from it being move to align up. Shingles blowing up, vinyl siding blowing up from it where it was not properly put down, water coming through the door knobs, and water still leaking between the storm doors, and says we signed a work order completed work order, ****** was to email to me, still have not got it. Needs to step up and fix this home which was not cheapBusiness response

I am rejecting this response because:They, were the one that left or not done right from the get go, ***** told he he would fix the stuff when he came back, and he never did. They need to fix it or send ******* back out we have a year to report problems , they said its because they had spent over *****, thats because they had to realign home back up ,

***************, your home has a one-year manufacturers warranty; however, the home center and home building facility have made multiple service visits to the home and all reported items have been completed. The home center and home building facility have both asked for one complete list of the repairs so that they may be addressed in one service visit. At this time, given the number of visits to your home and the signed work orders that indicate that the repairs were completed to your satisfaction, we believe that Clayton has addressed your warranty concerns at this time.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:***** told us hes coming back to fix master bedroom floor, and put trim up where they took off and left and glue off the floor they got on it, and I want to see a copy of the completed work order they said I signed?

*****, the contractor who the customer mentions in the complaint, has informed the home building facility that the service for the home is completed. The home center has also informed Clayton that the customer had a service appointment at the home but were not permitted to enter the home. All warranty service that has been reported to Clayton is completed.Customer response

They were permitted to enter the home the code was sent to Austins in Central city , at 3 am there was never a time frame that to when they were coming, we have a tear warranty in this home , i still want a copy of the the form that ****** says i sighted , work completed order, ***** the last time he came he was able to access my home because he called me at work, and I gave him our code to get in, as far as Austins code , phone number and times to call was left with lexi , ******************** wife said they wasnt coming out anymore because they spent ***** and they was not spending anymore or sending anyone out, one , it was Austins fault from the start for not having the home lined up , thats what cost, they put two storms doors , after all the water damage, and than they had to replace some of dining room floor had they c lame out when it first started to rain and get in, all that could have been prevented.

I have several issues about ************ is heating and insulating not being up to par. Set furnace to 72 deg and entire house except master bed/bath is at 70 deg master is 63 deg. Had HVAC out 2 times still not better. After living here 4 months the floors in entire place ***** due to cheap lenoleum and not tacked down. I had to replace floors because of it and where I bought from didnt offer to help or replace floor so I want ****** to reimburse me the $7k I paid for new floors. Kitchen cabinets are crappy too. Ive had drawers break and the drawer tracks are help onto back of cheap made cabinet with plastic that has broken, between cabinet and drawers there is no wall to support drawers. I want Clayton to replace kitchen cabinets with proper wood cabinets. I have called them twice and am told they wont reimburse for upgrades Ive done, but floors were not upgrades to me, it was to fix their cheap materials used in a $170k home that havent lasted only the 4 months Ive lived in it and it is a 2022 modelBusiness response

I need the serial number of the home. I can not find this homeowner in our system. They will need to look at the Data Plate on the inside cabinet door under kitchen sink.Business response

Here at this Clayton, we are in a agreement with our retailers that they handle service for us and then bill us back for the work.
We mostly only go out if it is structure damage, or something major.
The retailer has been out to her home six different times to complete work.
They have been out to address the crushed duct causing the air flow problem.
Our homes are Energy Star rated in regards to how we install the insulation, which is above what the government requires.
This customer was in such of a hurry to move from ******** to ********, they didnt walk a lot model to review the product they were buying first.
The materials we use are in the lot models at our retailers.
We dont offer laminate flooring, we only offer the linoleum.
We only offer the type of cabinets and drawers that are in this customers home as well.
Our homes are walked through by our QA team before it leaves our yard as well.
Our floors are installed before the walls are set in and made sure they are tacked in good also.
The customer thinks their furnace is too small and thinks it is 1.5 ton, we dont use 1.5 ton here at all.
This customer has a 3.5 ton furnace in their home.
The HVAC is handles between the retailer and the customer, we dont handle any of that.

Reguardless is I had gone through one or not is besides the point if I had its not like I would pull out drawers to see that there is no supporting wall and plastic holding it to the back wall of cabinet I cant see how the cheap linoleum is if tacked or not Even ********* said after I told them how the floor gouged and moved I was told Yes you have to be careful because the do ***** easily never offered to replace or fix them My heat still isnt working properly in master bed/bath For the price paid for home, its not worth it Such cheap materials went into making it and I want reimbursed for floors and I want something done with cabinets

This house is not ******************* it is actually Clayton Addison II, so I am replying to this complaint.

I am rejecting this response because:
First of all it is the same exact response as last time. I wasnt asking for vinyl flooring, that is what I had to replace floor with as the cheap linoleum they put in it gouges easily and no one offered to replace or repair it. I want to be reimbursed for the flooring and want something done about the cabinets. In pics you can see what I am talking about how there is no support for drawers and plastic is used which doesnt hold up and floors are tacked down. Obviously having being out 6 times says a lot about these homes having issues. The ducts were not crushed and ********* is coming out again this week to look at duct work again

Here at the manufacture, we were never notified if had ************ damage. In your owner's manual, our procedures are listed on approved linoleum repairs. We were never notified with pictures or emails about that to have a chance to repair the linoleum. This product is an entry level product, and these are the options with our cabinets, drawers, etc. I understand you were not able to walk a home previously to buying, but when you walk our models, you will notice we offer only one product with every home. Unfortunately, there is nothing else we can do, the flooring was not approved through us, and this is the only product we offer.Customer response

No one offered to fix or replace anything except a replacement of a broken drawer options should be offered but still for $170k there should be more than just the bare minimum to pass inspection put in for materials All of this happened within only 4 months of living in it. These cabinets need ti be replaced with proper ones and I still want to be reimbursed for the floors. It is all unacceptable

There is nothing else we can say or for this customer.
We have a homeowners manual that states gouges are not a warranty item.
We offer no other cabinets that we can replace hers with.
We cant reimburse her for her floor either with or without being notified about them first
No offers.
