I spoke with ******* on January 10th 2023 inquiring about a tan male poodle, which she claimed was $1,500 when I called asking her about it, I informed her that I was not going to pay $1,500.00 for a dog. She then replied, "I will give it to you for *******." I asked if it was ******* even, out the door, and she replied, "Yes". I then inquired about the tracking chip, and she informed me that it would be $39.99 to activate. So I asked if all I would be paying was $1,239.99 and she said "Yes". Not once did she mention taxes. I have a recording of her stating this, that $1239.99 is all that I would be paying. So I told her to charge my discovery card $800.00 even for the deposit. She repeated the amount several times so I asked her if that was all she was going to charge me for the deposit. Once again she said, "Yes." Instead of charging me $800.00, as agreed upon, she charged me $872.00. When I inquired about it, she told me that the $72.00 would fall off after. She sent this through email.****** sense would dictate that taxes have to be charged. So when I asked if $1239.99 was the total price, and she said yes, one would automatically assume that taxes was implied in that. But no, she sent me in an email that the $72.00 would fall of. Then on the phone claimed that it would not because it was taxes. So not only was my card charged more than what was agreed upon, the price of the puppy changed as well. When I tried to talk to about it, she became rude and nasty towards me and hung ** in my face. I was not yelling nor rude, but she constantly tried to over talk me and insult my intelligence. I have spent thousands of dollars with her mother, ******, buying over seven different dogs from Dream Puppies. This isn't the first time ******* has been rude. ****** and ******* claimed that a refund was started, however when I called Discovery they informed me that the refund was initiated but the funds were not released by the company for the refund to appear on my card.Business response

We are sorry there was a miscommunication in this matter. The prices of the puppy are given with the assumption that the customer knows sales tax will be added as with any other retail store. We appreciate ********************** patronage with our company. We apologize for any misrepresentation.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
*******************************
If they really appreciated their customers, it does not merit for rudeness nor attitudes towards them. I was led to believe that the price I was given had already included sales tax. But regardless, I am happy because I went to Wet Pets and spent $1,500 on a male poodle today. He is gorgeous and so adorable.
