I went to Aspen Dental in July for new dentures as my current upper had cracked. I chose the Comfylite style, their highest grade dentures, and was assured I would be able to pick the gum color and tooth color. The difference in quality is clearly visible on the Aspen Dental website showing the comparison of the different options. I worked as a dental assistant and those things were important to me...my smile is important to me. I was assured my dentures would be done before my planned departure date of September 1. In September I went to the office with the complaint that my dentures had not been completed (multiple appointments were cancelled by the office) and was given a discount of $500, given a set of temporary dentures and assured my set of dentures would be ready soon. On October 7 I was presented with a horrible, low grade product that was not only low grade material but so ill fitting there was no way they would function. I refused to accept their shoddy attempt and requested a refund that day. I do not have photos of the atrocities presented in October as I was not given an opportunity to photograph them. I was told the person who could authorize my refund was not in and would contact me on Monday. I have been unable to get a response from them but I have received a bill from their office showing a balance much higher than I owed them on the account. I am out over $1,600.00 and have been unable to chew things like meat for almost 4 months. This is a clear case of fraud as they claim the patient will be provided with dentures in days, not weeks or months.Initial Complaint

Last year I went to Aspen dental in ******** ** to get dentures made ( upper plate). I was told by the dentist there that they could not make a plate that would fit me properly unless they trimmed my bone. I thought they knew what they were doing, so they opened my gums from one side of my jaw to the other and trimmed my bone, as he was sewing me up ( poorly) he says we may have to trim more but if we do we will open it back up, he left nots that bother me. After several months of healing I was finally able to pickup a denture on July 10, 2021, but when they put it in my mouth it didn't fit right and it hurt very badly, the girl trimmed a little then said we want it to hurt some that way when you come back for your appointment next month we know where to trim, she said this knowing my wedding was in two weeks, so she wanted me to go through my wedding in pain which I did, I forced them in my mouth with a bunch of glue just so I would have a smile in my wedding pictures, Other than the wedding I hardly ever wore them because they didn't fit right and hurt. Two days before my appointment they canceled and eventually rescheduled for the Aspen dental in *******, they said they would do a realignment but all they did was put stuff in it that was gone in a week. I was totally unhappy and requested a refund which they agreed to almost $800, I was told I would receive a check no later than the following Fri. Two weeks past and I tried to call them it took several tries, then I was told it would go on the original payment methods which I no longer have because it was prepaid cards. I have been trying for over a year to get my refund, I even had my lawyer send them a letter requesting it, but they refuse to give me my refund. I paid $800 to get a new denture made, when I told them what happened they were shocked by the surgery, they said there was absolutely no reason to trim my bone, their job was to make a denture that fit me,. I WANT MY REFUND.Initial Complaint

07/26/2022 I went to Aspen Dental for two teeth hurting. When I got in there, they didn't want to do any thing about my two teeth. They did all kind of stuff that I didn't request like c*** my teeth for 3 hrs, make some long term plan that cost alot, and give me a bill of $ ****. I had to use a company called snap finance to finance $ ******* for services that I did not receive. My insurance was to pay the rest. Now my insurance company Delta Dental hasn't paid the claims yet because Aspen hasn't provided all the documents they need. I could not afford a root canal at a place Aspen sent me, so I will not be getting crowns. Aspen charged me for crowns and all kind off long term stuff. Aspen needs to call snap finance and return the money I didn't use. Scraping my teeth shouldn't cost 4 grand. Heck they didn't even polish my teeth. Apparently Aspen has been sued all over the country for these shady business practices. I call over there and can't get any answers from anyone. The finance guy is never there too it seems. Refund the Snap Finance and fix my insurance claims.
