In August of 2022 we paid a down payment for a used mobile home. In the amount of $3,000. The verbal agreement was ******************* who owns ************* in ******* ** was to fix the mobile home for us. There are exposed wires, plug outlets not properly in the walls, bare sheetrock some insulation showing, a toilet that can not be used because it leaks. The ceiling in the bedroom leaks in the middle bedroom, in the other bedroom there is a hole in the floor. The mobile home is inhabitable. We even stayed with family during November and December so he could finish it but never did finish it. Back when it was bitter cold in December our pipes froze and busted. He still hasn't fixed the pipes. He always comes up with an excuse why he hasn't done anything. We have paid lot rent every month but this one. We can't live there with no water so I don't think we should have to pay. Lot rent is $300 month. We my husband and I want our money back and we will move on. This is uncalled for. I have a text on my phone for receipt of the down payment. There is no written agreement only verbal and in text messages. He is a slumlord. Will have pictures available on January 16, 2023.
