MPE installed a water heater at our residence around 6/14/22. The water heater was installed for 3 days and the water heater malfunctioned and flooded our basement. The service man(Tim) came back to our residence and assessed the issues. Tim told my wife(in person) and the company service manager(over the phone) that the water heater malfunctioned. MPE contacted a water restoration company to remove the water and dry our basement. During the water removal process our carpet was cut and the baseboards were removed in a certain area of our home. The water restoration company is covering replacing the carpet because it was cut by their representatives, but the water restoration company said replacing the baseboards were the responsibility of MPE due to the water heater malfunctioning. I've tried working with MPE in regards to the entire ordeal, but on 7/25/22 Angie Hughes, the service manager for MPE told my wife that MPE were not replacing the water heater because the service man said it was due to the pressure valve being too high. We have 2 water heater at our residence and the other water heater is over 30 years old and we've not had any issues. I just want my basement restored to the original condition. We paid MPE $*** and $*******, total $********. I do not think it is fair. MPE installed a water heater at our residence. The water heater malfunctioned and they replaced it, but they are not restoring our basement to the condition it was in before the flood. I communicated with Angie for weeks and I even had my personal contractor come and quote repairing the baseboards since Angie told me they normally get a qualified representative to repair such services. Angie last told me through email on 7/22/22 that she would need to contact "*****" with Clean Image Restoration to see when he could come look at the effected area. This is a different restoration company that was originally in our home. I also sent Angie pictures of the area 6/29/22.
