I placed a $500 deposit on a vehicle "they" listed on Autotrader for $56398. Once my deposit was accepted salesperson, ****** ******** then told me that Autotrader.com listed that price too low and wanted me to pay $64000 now. I have texts of this conversation and an apology from Ms ******* for false advertising a vehicle price. Autotrader does not set the sellers vehicle price. The seller sets that information. TeamoneToyota set this price $8000 lower intentionally to bait and hook and steal deposits. Ms ******* apologized by text to me and stated my $500 would be refunded through PayPal. I requested my money back on PayPal only to find they'd canceled the request. Her sales manager contacted me and attempted to renegotiate an out the door price which I agreed to. Once he sent the numbers via text that price increased $6000. I simply want my deposit back and for this company to stop lying to customers and I'll be contacting Autotrader to let them know TeamoneToyota stated that Autotrader illegally set the price of their vehicles too low. Ms ******* showed me the same vehicle on Autotrader for $69000. Why didn't Autotrader set those vehicles at $56398? Because TeamoneToyota was baiting customers in by lying.

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/02/23) */ ***Document Attached*** Spoke with the sales manager. The price we agreed on with the consumer on the second time was the price we were willing to sell it at. The consumer calculated interest in his evaluation of the agreed upon sales price. This is something that is irrelevant to us. His interest rate is between he and his lender. However, we fully refunded the consumer his $500 on 1/27/2022 via ****** as requested. I'm enclosing a copy of this.

I purchased a car from team one Toyota in rainbow city on 1/1/22. The car is electric and the dealership did not have it charged when I came to look at it even though they were aware I was coming to see it. I got the car for a great deal, they charged it while I waited to sign papers, but by the time I was done the car hadn't charged much. That should have been a red flag but I ignored the warning signs thinking it just needed more time. The car died on my way home but luckily I was able to coast home. Charged the car overnight (approximately 3:30pm to 7am). I drove my 28 miles to work and had about 5 miles left till the battery died. I planned to charge the car on lunch but NONE of the charging stations in the area fit. I tried to drive back to work to finish out my day but the car died in the middle of a very busy highway so I had to coast into a parking lot, get someone to pick me up and carry me back to work, and had to have the car towed home. I contacted the dealership and went back to them on 1/3/22. They said the car hasn't registered in the state as sold yet and there's nothing they can do for me. Drove the car home and it died for a 3rd time. I've called the general manager and so did my mom, neither of use have received a call back. My mom has even sent an email without a response. I feel the dealership needs to fix this issue. I am a single mom with no other means of transportation.

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/02/17) */ My name is ***** ***** and I am the General Manager. I and our General Sales Manager, **** ******, have spoken with customer several times so I'm not sure why it is being said that we haven't. Electric vehicles are becoming more popular in today's world. Purchasing one is something that most people research thoroughly. There are different ways to charge them and setting up your home to accommodate the type of charging station that is best for your own personal driving habits is recommended. There are many public charging stations in our area with the popularity of electric vehicles on the rise. However the time frame varies based on the needs of the vehicle and consumer. In speaking with the customers it is apparent they didn't take the charging situation into account when they sought out an electric vehicle. We have offered to trade them into a gas powered vehicle. They're more than welcome to come to the store at any time and let us work #'s with them to see if it's something they would like to pursue.

I bought a used 2013 Ram 1500 back on June 14, 2021. In September 2021 the truck overheated causing damage to the engine, which resulted in Team One CDJR in Gadsden putting a used "junkyard" engine in it. On Sunday, Dec 19th I was on my way home when the engine started to make a loud knocking noise, I lost all power, and the "low oil pressure" came on. I had to get the truck towed back home. Now, ***** (service manager at CDJR) wants me to get the truck to him at MY expense! I'm sorry, I WILL NOT drop another penny into this truck. I have already dropped $3850.00 since your crappy "extended warranty" got out of paying the total amount of the bill. All I want right now is to be refunded $21,836.13 to pay off ALL the loans and just walk away from this nightmare!
