My ex-husband took his boat to ****** ***** (BOAT RESTORERS) at 203 ******* Drive in *** *******, AR. on Thanksgiving Day, 2021. The following is what he was supposed to do to the boat: 1) Vinyl decking removed and carpet put in 2) New back seat 3) Rubber around edge of boat replaced 4) Larger trolling motor 5) Boat cleaned 6) New cover for motor (it was cracked by tree falling on it) 7) Extra depth finder on front of boat. In the mean-time my ex was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in late December. He had contacted ****** ***** on several occasions to check on the progress of the boat and to let him know that he was having health issues and that as long as he could get it back for spring fishing, it would be fine. My ex-husband, ***** ******* passed away on March 3rd. He told my son he wanted him to have the boat. My son took over making payments on it in March. He has made numerous texts to ****** and kept getting pushed back further and further. He was told on April 19th, "it should be finished in a week to week and a half, tops". Every time ***** contacted him, he gave excuses, over and over about "he was having trouble getting things shipped to him that he needed to fix the boat", etc. Well, ***** finally told him last week that he was coming up from Shreveport this past weekend to get the boat. ****** said that it would be completely ready by Sunday afternoon. ***** texted him multiple times on Sat and Sun. Every time, ****** would state that he was "finishing up" and it should be done by 6pm on Sun. (***** needed to drive back to Shreveport Sunday eve.) When ****** finally said he could pick it up, ***** went over there and It was sitting out in the front yard. ****** was nowhere to be seen. There was no key to the boat. ***** texted him and he stated he was never given a key. He was paid $4,100 last Nov/Dec and the only thing he did was a shoddy job of carpet! Also, There was another couple on Facebook that was scammed by him! HE NEEDS STOPPED!
