On or around April 22, *****, contacted podium direct to purchase podium 703W. Paid $2000.00 up front with the remainder of $864.00 due on completion of the podium. Had invoice from our sister church, who ordered the same item. Read verbatim the order information from their invoice. Ordered 703W. Same color dark *********************. Same logo. ************* in ******. Received request to approve logo and color. Paid for 703W but received 702W. Which was a smaller and cheaper price. Podium was delivered. Podium was delivered in June around the 7th or 8th. We were sent an email to ask us to proof the color and logo and give approval which we did. Never noticed that the paper work was showing 702W and not 703W which we paid for. On Sunday July 14, the Elder put his hands on the top of the podium and leaned forward as he was speaking and the entire top popped away from the podium. Contacted podium direct who informed us that there was no warranty and they would do nothing to resolve the issue but send a repair kit. When informed about the in what was ordered and paid for in full compared to what was received. We were told we approved the order. Attempting to make this our problem and said we some how compromised the podium. They then offered to refund only the difference between the two amounts but no satisfaction in resolving the issue with the broken podium which we have only used 3x since we received it. Which is less than 3 months. So we're here, after several emails in an attempt to resolve the issue with no satisfaction.Business response

The customer ordered the 702W which was listed on the invoice clearly and was emailed to the customer the same day the first payment was made. They approved the drawing with logo, it was the 702W not the 703W. We then received the final payment and the same invoice listing the 702W was clearing listed again. The podium top came off after over 6 weeks from the date it was received it was compromised in order for this to happen. We are sending the customer a repair kit to replace the top which is very easy to replace and will be like new once again. As well we mailed the customer a refund for the difference. We feel we are doing everything possible to help customer with the issue.

The top Bible rest panel that has come loose appears to have been knocked loose from the screws that are in the panel underneath. From the photos it looks like the screws tore out the material in the top panel and may no longer hold a s**** in a few locations. If that is the case, it can be easily fixed but would need to have a new hole location drilled in the lower panel first.
It does not appear that the top Bible Rest panel has been damaged on any of the visible surfaces when it is installed. Somehow it got broken off of the lower panel and just needs to be re-attached, which can be done using the existing screws. The screws need to be backed out enough to allow the panel to rest flat, and then re-inserted.

The original phone call when podium was ordered was not 702W. It was 703W. The price was given for 703W and $2000.00 was paid as the down payment with the remainder of $864 to be paid prior to delivery. Never even spoke to anyone at podium direct concerning 702W. 702W was smaller and cheaper. We paid in full for what we thought was 703W. Podium Direct never reached out to us about the podium or the fact that we overpaid for the podium that was sent. If not for the issue with the podium and the fact that we finally realized that we didnt have what we paid for we would never have received a refund. We have had exactly 3 services since the podium was delivered to us on June 11th. Exactly what I told them is exactly what happened. The preacher put his hands on the outer edges of the podium and the entire top broke loose. They're trying to make this our fault when clearly it was not. We will not accept the responsibility for what was not our fault. The initial price given to us was clearly for 703W. The error occurred on their end not ours. The only responsibility we have is not catching what is clearly their error in the processing. We were not approving 702W. We were approving the color and the logo for what we thought was 703W.Business response

We delivered the 702W that was ordered by the customer they had it for several weeks before they damaged it. The damage can be easily repaired however and we sent a repair kit with instructions. We as well mailed a partial refund check to help with the issue. If the customer would like after they repair the damage they can send the item back but would need to arrange and pay for the shipping as well pay for the difference for the new item 703W to be made and sent back.Initial Complaint

November 11, 2021 I ordered a podium from this business. At the time, the website claimed products were on a 6 to 8 week shipping schedule. In December I was told it would be the week of January 17, which was past the schedule but only by a week or so. January 25th I had still not heard anything so I inquired about the order and was told they hoped to ship soon but it just wasn't ready. They also informed that lead times for orders was ***** weeks, which was NOT the original description in November. On February 21, after still not hearing any updates, I asked if the order was ready to ship yet or if an element could be changed in the order. I was told they could NOT change the order because the product would be shipping Feb. 21 or 22. It is NOW March 1, with no update on the product. When I tried to call to speak with someone, no one answers the phone.
