We had a winter preventive maintenance service today on our dual fuel heating/AC system. ******* was our technician. We have had a noisy rattling system since it was installed. ******* was persistent and after a 2 hour service, he figured out the source of the rattle and using multiple approaches he resolved the issue which has literally plagued us for at least 5 years. We are super impressed by his persistence and desire to satisfy the customer! 5 stars for ******* and **********************!Review from Jenn H

Home warranty contracted them out to assess a malfunctioning hot water tank in May 2023. They replaced it in August 2023. Fast forward to December 2024, we noticed water coming out from under the door to the water tank closet. Their technician didn't do the lines tight enough and the lines had a slow leak - when the weather got colder, the leak increased. The water sensor they placed in the closet didn't even go off either, which was annoying! The closet was full of mold - tons of drywall had to be cut out, even into the dining room.It's now July (nearly 7 months later) and the repairs are STILL not finished. *****, the owner, did not want to go through his insurance but rather assured me "I've got this" and told me that it would look as if the damage never happened. I've still got horribly mismatched walls (their drywaller used glossy trim paint on the walls instead of the eggshell), missing baseboards and trim, and one of my fabric cellular shades has drywall texture on it (because the drywallers did not protect the blinds when working). ***** - please make this right, finish the work, and honor your word and promise you made to me.Review from RJ M

First American Home Warranty selected this contractor to evaluate and provide a work order for a major plumbing leak that flooded the basement in my rental property in Verde Valley. Over 1 month after the initial contact, Nichols failed to produce any estimates to ****. During that month, I actually authorized Nichols to install the damaged hot water heater in order to honor and secure a guest booking for the property. I was up-charged ($4500 for heater and install) due to my desperation to get the house useable again (I take full responsibility for this decision but still was taken advantage of by Nichols). After that install, there was no noticeable attempt by Nichols to assist in the additional plumbing repairs. In fact, during one contact, I was told that they closed the claim from First American, which I promptly requested them to continue. Subsequently, another contractor has been contacted due to the lack of follow-up and contact from Nichols. I do not recommend this company. Their communication is horrible and inconsistent (if it happens at all), timeliness is extremely poor, and their business ethics are suspect.Review from Heather K

Grateful for the service technician that came to my property and solved the issue with my AC unit after two other bidders looked at the job, they were able to fix it no problem without hassle or large expense. Would recommend.
