On 04/Oct/23 I brought 2 pistols to Ruffs for consignment. They said they would send a check when they sell, to which I replied I would be in **. **************** said 'no problem, give us a good forwarding address'. 4 days later I physically handed the CA address to **** and he said "don't call us, we'll call you.So by Feb 2024 I'm wondering whats going on. I call them 17 Feb to hear "you've been paid, but I don't know, call back weekdays". I call 19 Feb and **** tells me "guns sold 30/Nov/23 but we couldn't reach you by phone and your phone is not registered in your name (HUH!!) therefor you have to come in if you want your check". They have my e-mail AND physical address on file and couldn't try contact with those?? I am 500 miles away from Ruffs and am here with family issues so not sure when I'll make it back to *********.On 23 Feb I sent Ruffs a short e-mail explaining I will be here in CA longer than expected and to please send me my check as was the original plan, but apparently our little relationship has gone south as they lack the professionalism, respect, or integrity to even send back a response. This is 3 months they have been holding my check. What is especially egregious is they had no intention/plan to get the check to me - I'm thinking they were hoping I had dementia or 'died suddenly'. I am 62yo, retired military, and am not used to being treated like this. I know my limits and I don't want to step foot in Ruffs again because I will potentially 'go off' on them over their unacceptable grifting behavior. Please note these employees have huge egos that you can read about on the various forums/reviews and now I also have a story to add. In conclusion, I have done everything I was supposed to. Ruffs has not followed their commitment and I don't want any more lame excuses. Phone not registered to me? I would love to see them explain that concept to a judge. Send me my check to CA NOW! $1149.98 is total blue-book value for my 2 pistols.Customer response

I ***********************************, #********, am writing to let you know my complaint with ruffs has been resolved thanks to BBB. Ruffs sent me the check for desired amount IMMEDIATELY when contacted by BBB.
