This company performed a repair on roof top air conditioner on June 17, 2022. During a subsequent rain storm my roof started leaking from an area by the air conditioners. After an inspection by a roofing company it was determined the leak was caused by damage to the roof next to these units (roof was replaced less than 2 years ago). When I approached the owner about getting reimbursed for the repairs I was told it was not his problem and I had no proof (even with the information I provided him).Business response

The client called on 8/3/22 before 10 AM to explain that they believed our employees damaged their roof. Demanded payment without allowing us to schedule a time to return to the property for assessment. Still attempting to schedule assessment with the client. The work was originally completed for the previous property owner, prior to the current occupant taking ownership of the structure. This person is not actually a client, however, they now occupy the dwelling in which we had installed an HVAC unit previously. He has now become irate and has threatened to smear the company name on every website, prior to even allowing our company to seek remedy on his behalf, should remedy be warranted.Customer response

The owner never requested the opportunity evaluate and stated he had no responsibility. I only stated I would approach it brought social media when he stated he was not going to address. I have only worked through the BBB at this point.Business response

We have attempted to contact the client for repairs and the client is demanding money and having a roofer 'fix' the issue that has not been determined by our company as our fault. We replaced the units before the roof was repaired/replaced in the last two years. The probability that it was our company is very low. Also, the complainant has solar on their roof. The last visit was in July and we replaced the disconnect but did not damage the roof in anyway. We have not been allowed back to the property to evaluate. This claim is baseless and ***** by the complainant.Customer response

Again, the owner rejected my claim outright without requesting a visit to the home. He was extremely argumentative and rude. His only comment to me was that he did not perform the work for me and that it was my problem. I told him I had roofing report stating the damage was at the air conditioner, but he did not care. They have been the only individuals on the roof during this timeframe (other than the roofing company which identified the damage). The estimate from the roofing company is $500.
