Service was for changing all fluids and a tune up on 2017 ***** pickup. The cost agreed upon was $1,169.78. Service was done on 7/17/24.Part of the tune up was $59.94 for a new set of intake manifold gaskets and did not change them. We found filthy, grimy gaskets after only driving the pickup for 5 days after the service. See attached photos.Five days after service the pickup started a misfire on cylinder 5. Took it back to Midas who blamed it on rat droppings getting into the cylinders. Multiple mechanics have confirmed no way did that cause the issue. They said anything like that would have burned off. Midas said they could not fix it and to come get it. Took it to ***** to have it diagnosed and they found the compression on cylinder 5 is low. Did not leave it there as not wanting to pay dealer prices for repair.Midas also tried to tell us we needed new struts and shocks as well. I told them the struts were just replaced a year ago. Three weeks later the right strut starts making noise. My son looks into it and finds loose bolts on top of the struts on both sides. My son is the one who changed them so he knows what he did. There was a mismatched bolt on the left side, which we know full well was not put on by my son when he changed them. So after the Midas service, we now have loose bolts on both front struts and and a mismatched bolt on the left side. My son starts to tighten the bolt and POP the strut literally breaks. So we had to go buy two new struts and install them. My issue here is there was absolutely no need for Midas to touch the struts and/or shocks during the work we took it there to have done.So far we are out the cost of the Midas services, a rental car for 3 weeks ($650), two new struts ($350) and have yet to get the engine completely fixed. We just got the news that they only way to fix what Midas did to our pickup is to replace the engine, which will cost us upwards of $17,000.

Last time I got an oil change I was told I needed my brakes done soon. Brought my car back to the same location for brakes and oil change was told my brakes still look new but I have a nail in my tire. Was shown a picture of a big roofing nail in what I was told was my tire. Told the employee I'll take it to my regular tire place and they started acting weird and questioning me. Also the price for tire repair on the board was ***** and she told me it was 25. Took my car to my tire place, there was no hole, nail, or leak in any of my tires. At this point I'm wondering if my car is even safe to drive after letting them work on it. I guess I should've noticed when they didn't include the picture of the nail in my "car health report" and showed it to me on her phone instead.
