On April 18, 2023 I had Right Price Moving transfer my belongings from a commercial storage unit to my residence. Since I could no longer afford the storage unit I put my tent up in my backyard to temporarily hold as many of the boxes as possible. I instructed the movers to put any boxes that didn't fit in the tent on my back patio. Two stacks of heavy boxes full of books were left halfway in the tent and halfway out, so that the opening couldn't be zipped closed. I called their business office to ask that they come move those boxes to my patio. I was told someone would be here the next day. No one showed up, and no one called to tell me they wouldn't be here. I called again that evening and was told someone would come between their 1st and 2nd appointments the next morning, probably between 9 - 10 am. Again, no one showed up and no one called me about it. This time I texted them and they replied that they would get it done for me that day. Still nobody showed up. Once again I texted and I was told they were busy, they had my phone number and would let me know when they could come over. I didn't hear from them for the next week. Finally I sent another text to make sure they hadn't forgotten about me, and I requested a response. There was no reply. I've subsequently sent some additional texts inquiring when I could expect them. They are ignoring my messages. I paid $637.37 and they did not complete the job as instructed.Business response

We moved all of her items out of a storage unit and into her backyard in a very small tent. The type of tent that grown men have to crawl or ****** to get into, they cannot stand up at all inside this tent, it's too short. The boxes she had were big and were full of books which means they were extremely heavy. Our guys hurt their backs that day with having to ****** and try to carry every single box and try to fit everything into the tent she provided. Which again was a small tent that you could not stand up in at all. Our guys did the absolute best with the circumstances and what was available to them to get the job done. She was only charged for the time it took our guys to get the job done and the resources that we used for her job (truck, fuel, materials, etc). We have only a few employees and so the employees that did this job were already hurt and absolutely did not want to go back and we did not force them to as they were not able to work for a while due to the injuries they sustained.

You were misinformed if your guys told you the tent was small. It's VERY large. It's a 2 room tent, and the height is 78 inches, which is over 6 feet I specifically bought a tent that has enough room to stand up in. Since you haven't seen it in person I'll send you a photo of it to whatever phone number you provide.
Also, I never witnessed either of the guys "crawl or ******" to enter the tent, but I did see them wheel the hand truck loaded with boxes into the tent until it was almost full, rather than having to carry the boxes. Neither one of them showed any signs of having hurt their back, and neither complained about having done so. They indicate that they were going directly to another job to move another household afterwards. Perhaps that is where they were injured.
All of the boxes were the standard SMALL sized moving boxes, which actually come printed as being for books, among other things. Again, I can forward you photos of the boxes. There were NO large boxes with books in them. The ONE large box was my wardrobe box, which *** put on ***************** as instructed. It did not contain any books.
My complaint was that the job was not completed. Two of the stacks of boxes were left out, exposed to the elements, when I requested that any boxes not being put in the tent be set on the patio. I was dismayed and offended that I was told 3 times the problem would be resolved, yet no one came or even called. I consider that a terrible way to operate a business.Initial Complaint

Took place on 12/31/2022 This place is a scam. I discussed it with other people and even they said I was ripped off. I wish my wife had never sent in the payment because I sure wouldn't have. They told me they were arriving early and were still 40 mins straight. The guys that were moving were running up the clock on purpose. How do I know? When the owner was there 75% of the only things we asked to be moved, the big items, were loaded onto the truck. The owner left and all that remained was our bedroom. It took them an hour and a half to break the metal bed down into three pieces and the desk into two. They purposely ran up the time. I put both items back together in twenty and ten minutes. (But not before I was forced to go to ****** multiple to replace the pieces they had lost). On top of that, they said they couldn't get my dryer because the piece was on too tight and they needed a special tool. They promised to come back first thing the next day and move the dryer. They didn't. On top of that they ignored my texts and forwarded my calls until I said I would involve the BBB. During that time I hired a handy man. He was able to undo the dryer, move it, and install it in no time at all BY HIMSELF and not with three grown men. The wife of the business lied. She said they're family owned so work 24/7 even during hoildays, it's all good! Then turned around and tried to make it as if the holiday was why they were ignoring me AFTER my wife had paid them. I was scammed out of $920 for something I wouldn't pay $100 for. BTW they charged $120 for materials when they used MY box on the tv, some tape, and a blanket. I could have provided all of that had she broke down the costs, but she did not. I have all the evidence on my phone in texts. They didn't want to admit that their guys were running out my clock just to get paid more, but that's exactly what they did.Business response

When giving her an estimate, we made it very clear how we charge and what we charge for. Just like we do every customer. There are certain items we do not and cannot move due to liability reasons and not having staff that are knowledgeable in moving these certain items safely. Gas appliances are one of those items. Unfortunately, we are not a company that puts our guys at risk or our company at risk to move these items just because a customer insists that we do it. If something goes wrong, we're liable, and we're not going to put ourselves or our guys in such a predicament no matter what anyone says.

This is a blatant lie on behalf of the company. They never told us what couldn't be moved nor gave a list of unmoveable items so LIES. On top of that they promised to move it the next day, I even have the text messages to prove that. (I never throw anything away). Aside from things they damaged, their guys walking around doing NOTHING while they were supposed to be moving and them purposely inflating the time they are nothing more than scam artists that stole our hard earned money. I will continue to complain and spread how horrible they are until they change what they did because it's simply not right. They're coming back to lie months ****** speaks volumes to how unprofessional they are as well as the fact that their little business must be hurting. Good. I'm not the only customer who has complained and will continue to do so. They never solved the problem, didn't refund my money, or even partially refund it. They are a horrible company who should lose their ability to do business because of their shady practices and the lying woman that gave me the quote in the first place. As well as their stretching time to be paid more.
