I was sent to Oscar by my state for help in case of emergency. I have since got a new job with benefits and cancelled. Since then I have been harassed with bills an emails. They took money out of my bank account, it was returned but I recently received another invoice. I called the hotline they said they were transferring me to the state, the state transferred me back. The woman would not let me speak and sounded like she was reading from a script. If you need insurance Oscar is way too expensive and has no communication unless they take money from you for no reason. They have the nerve to send me satisfaction surveys??Review from Louree R

Rated 1 out of 5 stars I wish I could give them 0 stars!I wish I could give them 0 stars!! I am diabetic and have been on the same medication for years. I chose Oscar because my doctor participated with the plan. Now Oscar is denying the same medications Ive been taking for years that had my numbers in a good range. I was as even losing weight! My doctors office has submitted the documents they requested 3 times to try to get my medication approved and they just keep sending back the same letter. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH OSCAR!! They are TERRIBLE!!!Review from Vincent P

I considered a policy with Oscar Health Care because it is on the marketplace website. I looked up providers near me on their provider index. It listed 23 doctors, all with the same phone number and address just 6.1 miles away from my home. This sounded extremely unlikely. I went to the office in person and spoke to the receptionist. NONE of those doctors ever worked at this office. Only one doctor and 4 PA's worked at the office, and they did not accept Oscar insurance there. In my opinion, Oscar Health Care is grossly misrepresenting the availability of providers in their network, and their provider list appears to be a fabrication. I called and spoke to Oscar Health Care customer service and they even called the office and confirmed that no doctors in their network ever worked there, in spite of the fact that they list ************* network at that location. They also confirmed that there are in reality ZERO providers near me. Thank goodness I didn't simply enroll in this health plan. I hate my current health plan, but at least they actually have REAL DOCTORS in their network.Review from Rhonda J

I had coverage with Bright Health 1/1/2022 - 11/30/2022 with a government subsidy paying a portion of my premiums. I cancelled the coverage as of 11/30/2022 through the **********************. Prior to the end of 2022 I received a letter from Bright Health stating they were leaving the ***************** and listed Oscar Health as a replacement plan. Since I cancelled my coverage on 11/30/2022 I ignored the letter. I did not enroll in coverage with Oscar Health. In October 2023 I received a creditable coverage notice stating I had coverage with Oscar Health 1/1/2023 - 12/31/2023. I called Oscar Health and was told I had the coverage all year and the premium were paid with government subsidy. I explained I did not request coverage with Oscar and was referred back to the **********************. I never received and ID card from ********************** or any coverage information. If not for the creditable coverage notice Oscar would have received 12 months premiums from government subsidy. I have reported the incident to the marketplace to rescind all premiums paid to Oscar Health.Review from Omekia S

Someone decided to use my information to get fraudulent test done. When I called the man kept trying to argue stating he wasnt the one that switched me to this insurance without my knowledge nor permission. He refused to cancel the services and I have insurance.Review from Alicia A

I have never had Oscar insurance, but inquired about it on ********* Now I am getting explanation of benefits in the mail constantly for services I have had. I only have 1 insurance and it is NOT Oscar. When I get mail from them, it is under my user name on ********* I have no idea how my services are being billed to this insurance company. I have spoken to my health care billing department and they don't have them on record for my insurance. I think this is a privacy breach and for sure a HIPPA violation. I have talked to Oscar representative several times with no resolution. Something is fishy.Review from Cathy M

I wish I could give LESS than 1 star. I had breast cancer surgeries in Feb 2022 and Mar 2022, then radiation in April 2022. There are nearly 100 claims for all ********************* visits, mammograms, etc. They processed and re-processed over and over again, each time wiping out the record of "out-of-pocket" spent. I've now paid nearly $9,500 even though my policy had a OOP *** of $8,700, and just now got another bill for $1,953 more. Countless phone calls, emails, filed their Grievance form, and NOW, more than a year later, they are STILL reprocessing. DO NOT GET INSURANCE WITH OSCAR.Review from Teri F

No reimbursement if policy is cancelled mid month. Policy jumped from 179 per month to 790 per month with no written warning. When I cancelled policy no prorated money is given. Zero starsReview from Corbin S

Would like to advise anyone who might read this that a client of mine has had a dreadful experience with Oscar. The first major issue we discovered was that employees where being charged contributions to their health insurance plans when the company's written/contractual policy with Oscar is the company contributes 100% of employer health insurance. Oscar offered no apology nor explanation as to why this was occurring nor did they offer to provide a solution. The next major issue was that upon onboarding new employees, *****, the payroll service and managing agent of the plan, would not effectively transfer the information to Oscar and we had employees going uncovered for 30 days before obtaining coverage. Our insurance begins on day 1 of employment. On top of this, Oscar was billing the client for this coverage, despite it not being in effect. Oscar provided no explanation, no apology, nor did they offer us any solutions or compensation. The most recent issue we've dealt with was upon requesting cancellation of the health care plans via email with the effective cancellation date of January 1st 2023. Oscar staff terminated the plan with immediate effect, with no email notification confirming termination or acknowledging receipt of the email. We discovered the termination via an employee who notified management asking why their coverage was terminated.Oscar provided no explanation and instead pointed the finger at company personnel stating someone must have logged in and inadvertently set the cancellation to be effective the same day. We know this isn't the case. We have the email chain as proof. All incredibly concerning administrative issues that should be made aware to the public.Review from Courtney M

Oscar habitually bills us for medical care that we have in writing we are not supposed to pay for. I dispute the **** every time and have yet to see anything corrected. I'm worried about Oscar's other members who just trust whatever they're billed and pay it. Is this not fraud? Where are the lawsuits that should be filed against Oscar Health?
