I sure wish I had read these reviews before we went with One Guard! When our water heater went out, we, of course, called them. The phone *** said " No problem" that someone would be out to look at it that day (Friday) and it would be fixed by the next day (Saturday) The contractor did not come that day, He did call and said he doesn't work weekends, so will come the next Monday. He came checked everything out and notified One Guard. One Guard proceeded to call my husband and tell him he would have to pay $480 to have the heater ***laced. My husband and I are on a fixed income and thought this was an exorbitant price to pay. The reason we went with a home warranty company was to get assistance with things that broke down in the house. My husband talked with the very rude agent, told her that our friends are with One Guard and did not have to pay ANYTHING for their water heater ***lacement! My husband asked to talk to a supervisor and was told that one would call back in an hour. They did call back, but were very rude and not helpful. Because we were in a bind, we paid the amount they quoted, but resolved to NEVER use this company again. I have heard that the company used to be good, but then changed hands and is now not worth S***. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING! We are now looking at new warranty companies.
