We had home improvement performed by this company within the last 4-5 years and as of 3 weeks ago, a sink that was installed cracked and broke completely in one of the bathrooms where improvement/remodeling was performed. We have tried to contact the company since then with no response. The materials should still be under warranty. They will not answer phone calls or emails! We expect some sort of polite response and repair and have received none. Furthermore, during the remodeling process that occurred, there were countless errors made and great difficulty getting them attended to from the beginning. This company is the 2nd worst company I have ever dealt with and I want that noted here.Business response

The information is incorrect. I did speak to the wife when she called. The warranty doesnt not cover materials . The warranty only covers the labor that we provide . The homeowner is more than welcome to contact the manufacturer if they would like to get another sink. The homeowner also stated that the drop something in the sink which cracked it . The manufacturer doesnt cover accidental damages. We have serviced warranty for the homeowner multiple times in the past as well. We dont ignore the clients . I also explained to the wifes that the need to login into the poral and summit a warranty ticket for any items that they need fixed and add photos still we havent received anything from this homeowner. They arent being ignored and they have to contact and were give instructions. If they need anything further then can contact my officeCustomer response

My wife did not speak to the ***** Holtzman. She spoke to a male receptionist when she called the main number and he directed here to log on to her account to see the warrantee. When she clicked on the warrantee tab, there was nothing there to read or review or make a claim. Then she emailed ***** and never got a response back and that is where we were left. Furthermore, I called the number directly and left a phone message that was never returned. There was no follow up and no way to see anything related to the case. Also, It is obvious that the contractor used subpar materials that are cheaper and thus make a larger profit. Pursuing this case any further is pointless, as, apparently, it is our word against theirs. However, I can add that their warrantee as stated in their response covers workmanship. The shower in the same bathroom was poorly caulked and there are multiple "holes" in it where water may leak behind the surface. I shudder to think what might be going on behind the wall of the shower. I end this case here!Business response

We stated the warranty terms and conditions to the clinet. The warranty is for labor only nothing else we dont use cheap materials and we have a 5 year warranty. The home needs to summit an issue with in 7 days per the warranty terms and agreements. If the this wasnt reported with in 7 days the warranty doesnt cover this . I hired Holtzman on November 3, 2022, my project is a new master bath and front door. I picked out all the necessary items in their showroom around Feb. 15. My job was demod on April 13 and is still sitting undone as of today 5/12/23. The only time things have gothen done is when I have called to complain. If you go to my portal on their website we can confirm dates. The drywall was suppose to be done May 3,2023 it still is not done. Every time I receive a text *** Ke this morning) telling me a worker is coming they do not show up. As for reaching out to this company all I get is excuse after excuse as to why my project is not getting done. I am looking to have this project done and get them out of my home. I have paid this company over $25,000.00 to date and received only excuses. Rating F and not recommending them. If you need documents you can go on the company website. The drywall crew was sick which you were notified. We have been on your job for 3 weeks only. The contract that you signed and the start dates are two different dates. Contract signed in April.Work was to start in Sept and finish in Dec due to the need to get a permit for the garage conversion (at no point should this have affected the bathroom). Working with a designer named *******, was not informed she was no longer working at the company, so I kept following up with apparently nobody for weeks before I reached out to someone else for an update. Did not hear anything about our job and it is now Oct, a month late. I reached out for a status regarding the permit and at this time someone was sent over to take some measurements. We received word that the permit was denied but you still had my 13k+ deposit and there was no conversation had about what to do since the permit was denied. No work was being done and no suggestions or solutions offered. This is when I proactively said we will just move that contract over to a second bathroom. January comes and the work on our original bathroom has still not started and it is after the completion date. The plumbing gets removed and we have no hot water. We expressed this to the contractors and supervisors and they all said that it was nothing that they did so we contacted our usual plumber to inspect the situation. Our plumber was here talking with **** directly and he said nothing about the construction being done affecting the hot water when we explicitly stated that this only started to happen at the moment the demo started. We spent over $700 with our plumber inspecting our water heater, replacing a few parts, etc and that did not fix the problem. After 6 weeks of no hot water, we brought back another plumber and he immediately knew that there was an issue with the new bath pipe and there was no cartridge in there to prevent the cold water from mixing. So much more has transpired since and the bathroom is still not complete, but characters limited on review.Business response

The client was aware that the build couldnt happen. Because the *************** wouldnt allow the build to happen. He ask the sales person if he could use the money for a master bathroom in his home. The second bathroom was started and we finish the bathroom up to the point that client said he was having a baby and know one is allowed in his house for 2 month. The client never told any supervisor regarding any hot water issues. If the client would of told ** there was an issues we would of immediately sent a plumber to fix the issues. Instead, the client called another plumber and this what necessary at ************ didnt know about the remodel and shouldnt of been called or touch any work that was performed by **. We had no issues stand by the work that was performed and when we sent ***********, he knew what needed to be done right away . We Have no issues completed are project the client didnt want ** in the house because of the baby and hasnt reach back out to ** regarding when we can return .Customer response

We told all the contractors that there was an issue with the hot water and we told the supervisor on site that there was not hot water, so that is simply not true. When we told the supervisor, they said it wasn't anything that they did. That is when we had to reach out to an external plumber because you were not doing anything about it.
As for the project itself, I had to actively reach out to see what was happening with the permit because you did not give me any updates as to how we could move forward. We never received a response regarding what the next steps where so I had to reach out proactively to ask, all while they sat on our deposit. This permit issue was no reason for the bathroom project to start 5 months late. It took you 2 months to redo a bathroom, and not even finish it. A lot of the work that was completed was poor at best. We never received a response regarding what the next steps are.
Also, the site supervisor accused both my wife and I of hiding materials at out house because when the workers showed up, nothing was here. Rather than asking internally and reaching out to the suppliers if the items were delivered, we just got directly accused.
Direct messages to my email from management are unprofessional and lack resolution. Rather than deescalating the situation by quickly addressing my concerns, Holtzman ignored my first set of emails, and when they finally did respond they made grey area threats that I need to let them into my house. Again, none of my actual concerns were ever addressed, we never received even the slightest of apologies for their missteps, and because of that, this is the situation we are in.

***** Holtzman (Contractor) requested to breach and terminate contract claiming I made his employees cry on the phone because I expressed confusion and concern over extension of estimated completion date. In two separate conversations with two separate employees, I never raised voice, used profanity, name-calling, derogatory, or condescending language. I simply expressed confusion, concern, and displeasure with miscommunication regarding timeline dates and asked for someone to provide explanation. At not time did either employee state that tone or content of my request was inappropriate or made them uncomfortable.***** Holtzman called me on same day to say that he did not know the facts, but said, he is going to cancel the contract because I made two of his employees cry on the phone and that obviously his company is not a good fit for me. He made no effort to attempt to clarify or resolve the issues or confusion related to the timeline, simply said that he would refund the nearly $20,000 deposit.Now is withholding refund pending my signature on a release that restricts me from communicating about my experience in a truthful manner.Customer response
