I took my 7 month old male cat here to get neutered. Within days I noticed redness and inflammation at the surgical sight that was unusual. He was lethargic and his mood had severely changed. I called them asking to bring him back in to be evaluated for an infection and to get some pain meds to relieve his discomfort. They barely examined him and gave me some oral antibiotics and no pain meds. Brought him to a different vet a couple days later and he now has to have surgery that will cost me $1900 because he has necrotic tissue. The vet said they think the infection is from dirty surgical instruments.

On June 27th, 2023 I took my dog to the Spay Neuter clinic in ********. My dog was initially scheduled for a spay, but I changed the appt to a simple microchip appointment as my dog had recently gone into heat. Over the phone they said it was no problem to change the appt from a spay appointment to a microchip appointment. They informed me that the microchip charge would be $41.They did a bait and switch and overcharged me. Post the procedure they charged me an additional $33 for an exam, which was worthless. Dr.D literally spent 90 seconds with my pet. They had told me prior that the exam was included with this microchipping service. Their website makes no mention of any other exam fees associated with this service. I do not believe this business is doing business honestly. Upon leaving, I called the Mesa, Glendale and ********** locations who also all informed me that the microchip charge of $41, includes a free exam.I've now reported it as a disputed charge with my credit card. This business should not be allowed to do bait and switch pricing. This establishment should be ashamed. Some businesses will do anything to squeeze a few bucks out of people in hopes they don't push back. The facts are on my side, and I'm not only pushing back, but letting you all know that this is illegal. This business shouldnt be allowed to tell customers that a service costs $41, but then turn around and charge them $33 more. Their website makes no mention of this added $33 fee. Their flyers make no mention of this added $33 fee. And the customer service team told me that the exam was free and included with the microchipping. This $33 fee was just sprung upon me. Please help to resolve this.

There is an exam fee if the doctor performs an exam. The other clinics have a technician administering the microchip, so there is no extra fee. We will not argue the credit card dispute.

I apologize for the confusion. Each clinic is it's own franchise, and not all clinics use the same fee schedule. We will evaluate the fee system at the ******** clinic to avoid this confusion in the future.
