This dance group - has kept lots of money from former students. The students usually get dismissed at high school age which is when these students have about $900.00 in their account - to use for college. The instructor then dismisses them and uses the funds to buy other students pizza or buy material. This has happened to many students over the past few years. I don't want this to continue to happen to more.

This is the response to the complaint ID#: 16820880                                March 24, 2022
      1. Funds remain the property of Danzacultura Mexicana as stated in the Rules.
      2. This Rules are signed by the parent when the student is accepted as a member of the group.
         (See signed document)
      3.  Mrs. ********** has a history of trying to claim funds for personal use.
      4. Student must be current in their payments.  Danzacultura Mexicana has not received the payment
for this semester of January 2022 to May 2022 as well as a partial payment is still due from
         2019.   (See receipts)
Payment was received only from the semester of August 2021 to December 2021 which it was
a reduced tuition in an effort to assist them with payments.
According to Danzacultura Mexicana regulations if a member is not up to date in tuition payments the
         membership is forfeited.
            (See rules)
      5. I became aware In February 2022 that she has joined another Folklorico group without informing me.
      6. Students are only dismissed when the parents or student break the rules or quit the group.
      7. Pizza is occasionally purchase for students and parents and for Holidays and special occasions.
For example:  Christmas everybody is allowed to bring their family and friends.
      8.  Danzacultura Mexicana is absolutely under no obligation to make her a dress or provide her with a
          sewing machine.
Danzacultura provides costumes at no cost to members for performances.  Most of the time I buy
fabrics for the costumes with my own personal funds. The director, ****** ***** (myself ) of
Danzacultura Mexicana makes, cleans, alters and repairs costumes at no cost to students.
Upon request I make or alter  students personal costumes for a fee.  Recently, Mrs. **********
requested that I alter her daughter’s practice skirt for which she never paid me.
      9. In regards to giving Salt Point High School $900, Mrs. ********** is in no position to dictate how
Danzcultura distributes its own funds.  Mrs. ********** repeatedly comments that $900 is owed to her
daughter which is not true.  That money was set aside by Danzacultura for her daughters use if she
participated in a group sponsored trip which she never did.  (See Rules)
      10.  Mrs. ********** never attempted to contact me in regards to her complaints, but instead went
             directly to your organization.

I appreciate your intervention in this dispute.

        Thank you
