We used Spectra for our small bathroom remodel project and had an unpleasant experience, primarily due to poor project management and little to no communication. When several delays occurred, it took numerous emails and phone calls to get a clear answer as to when work would be completed. This was particularly frustrating as we had to rework our personal and work schedules often based on limited or incomplete information. We had to provide regular reminders about features to be installed and confirm that this work was completed, some of which had been forgotten. At times, it was also unclear when certain subcontractors would arrive and how long they would be at the house. Spectra also had inadequate timing and/or complete neglect of product submittals that we asked to be part of the project we should not have been approving products the day of install. We found the lack of communication to be disrespectful of the fact that this was our only bathroom in our main house, that we have a small toddler, and that we were 7 months pregnant. Finally there was a lack of quality control. We had to email after completion of the project to address unfinished work and damages to existing features. **** worked with many contractors at our home throughout the years and are accustomed to this process and need to be flexible. However, this project was an exception and could have been greatly improved with better communication, management, and transparency.
