Smart Choice came to check our AC unit on a check up through our home warranty. ****** was pleasant and professional. He was able to explain the status of our system make recommendations for maintenance that would help us avoid summer breakdowns. We've never had a technician go over things in such detail. I wish to compliment Smart Choice Heating and Air Conditioning on their service and particularly on their ability to listen to the customer! I was referred to ********************************************* through my ********************* due to the fact the air conditioner stopped working, due to the same problem that had occurred 4 months prior. As I don't live in the house at present - it is a rental - I particularly needed to be able to trust anyone doing any work, there. *************************** managed the transaction for me. He was excellent. The problem was diagnosed within 24 hours - most important as the tenant was without air conditioning on a very hot day. Everyone I spoke with at the company appeared knowledgeable and explained clearly the details of both the problem and my options for repair. I am extremely pleased with the service I received ( on the two occasions I have used this company) and I highly recommend them! Thanks to all of you. ************Review from Jenna R

They installed a new furnace. Like anything else it needed some adjusting and fine tuning. Made an appointment for ******* to come and look. I had a technician do a routine maintenance check. He said I needed a new blower motor for 700$. I had a suspicious check last year in which I felt I was over charged. Because of that I decided to get a second opinion. Sure enough I do NOT need a new motor blower. How are they in business? Are the technicians on commission?Review from Brenda E

A tech from Smart Choice (part of *** service contract) arrived and misdiagnosed the issue with the ** unit. The issue which was a major leak in the attic located condensor coil was diagnosed as a faulty valve in the outside unit by the smart choice tech. A 2nd and 3rd opinion by other companies resulted in my having to replace the coil (which *** will never cover) out of pocket. The Smart Choice tech was lazy and i physically observed as he did not even open up the cover for the coil when I asked him if he was going to check the attic unit/part. Not surprising though I had an estimate for a new ** unit this company sent within an hour after he left for over $13K.. How about trying to do the right thing, it's not the customers fault you accept the prices *** is paying you. You charging triple the price for a pound of refrigerant to the *** customer will not lead to you being called back. (Reg price is approx $65 per lb, they charge $165 per pound, plain stealing if you ask me..
