I signed a contract for Eurotech Showers to reinstall a glass shower door after cracked tiles in February 2022. They did the work in May 2022 and in the process of drilling the s**** for the shower door, they cracked the new tile. I contacted ********************* from Eurotech and notified him of the problem. He said he would contact the contractor (***********************) who laid the tile and work out a plan to fix the problem. **** then said he would rehang the door once the contractor replaced the tile. I requested updates for months from **** and the contractor. They never worked out who would take care of the problem. They just ignored the last email I sent in October 2022. It's now December 2022 and they have not attempted to correct the situation.Business response

Eurotech Showers is a subcontractor for *********************. We install most of their shower doors. The contract is never through the homeowner, but through AC&R. I want to clarify that because the complaint makes it sound like we are the company that has ignored this issue.
This is the second time that this issue has come up in this specific bathroom. The first time this happened to the tile behind the bottom hinge, we took the door down so AC&R could pull the cracked tile off and replace. We went back a couple of days later and re-hung the door. Apparently, sometime after the install, the same issue happened by the upper hinge where the tile behind it cracked. I sent another contract proposal to AC&R to have our guys go and take the door down and have them replace the tile. AC&R never responded to the contract. They believed that the reason the tiles were cracking was our fault, which it was not, and did not want to pay for us to go back and re-install the door after the tile had been replaced. The tile cracked due to insufficient backing behind the tile, allowing flex in the tile and therefore cracking due to the pressure of the hinge plate. I was there when they pulled the bottom tile off initially, and that was the case. I have not seen what is behind the top tile, but I would assume that is the same issue as the bottom tile.
I have talked to the owner of AC&R, and he told me that he would sign the contract proposal and send back to me to begin the series of work. I will send the contract to him again and respond to the email the homeowner sent to me and the owner of AC&R a couple of months back. Since we are a sub of AC&R, I did not feel like it was my place to tell the homeowner the work had not been completed due to a dispute between them and us.
Let me know if you need anything else from me.
