The company has become incredibly demanding of staff with very little in return. Theyve taken away the fully compensated apartment benefit, and now we only receive a 20% discount. The raises we were given end up going back to the company, essentially cancelling them out. The president frequently makes inappropriate jokes about firing employees during seminars and often comes off as ***************** regional manager, who was recently promoted, is rumored to be involved with the *** and their behavior and body language make it obvious. She is unprofessional, constantly making inappropriate jokes about people needing some and speaking poorly about subordinates to others. It's an extremely toxic environment. Employees who display bad behavior are rewarded with raises, while those who work hard are burdened with even more ******************* used to be a great place to work, but it's slowly turning into a very negative and unhealthy environment.

If i could give zero stars i would.Worst management I have ever dealt with & when I share the stories, everyone is in agreement that it is horrible. **************** Apartments. We had a leak in our apartment that turned into a flood due to apartment negligence. Got put into a hotel & dealt with little to no information & constant stress from leasing office. There was a man arrested for having an entire arsenal in his apartment & the police found out he was renting TWO units here under different names but SAME picture. Absolutely stupid and DANGEROUS. They must not do background checks. Rat in apartment & little to no response from the apartments for assistance. Apparently now they cannot respond to ANY emails or ANY voicemails without first having them screened by a Regional manager. Why even have the current management team them if they cant do their jobs correctly? I am constantly wishing we could get out of these apartments but we are stuck here for now. Renters BEWARE. I do NOT recommend moving here. There are problems at every turn.

Absolutely horrible. Will not work with you on a payment plan if you're sick for one month despite being on time throughout your lease. Privileged employees will call police on residents the second they don't want to verbally discuss the repercussions of their actions and lack of help in their apartment complex. This is about El Sereno.

FDC Management is the WORST property management company I have ever dealt with and that says a lot because I have rented multiple apartments/houses in the past. If there was a negative star review - this place would get it. Let's start from when I was living at one of their properties, Harbor Lights in ****************, **. When I was living there, the manager onsite was the worst property manager I have ever dealt with, I believe that's why he was fired. Now I lived there for 10 months, within that time frame other tenants who have lived there for years told me that this property management company is so horrible and they get a new manager every few months. When I moved out FDC proceeded to upgrade the the apartment AFTER I MOVED OUT - and then they charged me for all the upgrades they had made. From my understanding, the apartment complex is allowed to clean and fix anything broken up to the standards that the apartment was in on the day that I moved in. Well this was not the case here, FDC decided to upgrade the flooring, paint the entire home, and some other upgrades they are very vague about, they proceeded to keep my $800 deposit and then **** me $2,000 for the upgrades they made to the apartment. According to FDC Management they took the $800 deposit and then did $2,000 worth of work to the apartment I lived in for 10 months. Saying there was $2,800 worth of damage to the apartment. This is more than the monthly rent I was paying when I lived there. Let me add, the apartment was still in the same condition as when I moved in. When I call to talk to someone about these charges, they cannot give me a straight answer, **** THE DISTRICT MANAGER CUSSED ME OUT AND HUNG UP ME ON. When I called her back she sent me straight to voicemail. *****, another employee, gives me super vague answers, extremely rude over the phone. ***** SAYS THAT I AM WASTING HER TIME AND HER CO-WORKERS TIME BECAUSE I KEEP CALLING AND EMAILING TO TRY AND RESOLVE THIS AND FIGURE OUT WHY I AM BEING OVERCHARGED. No one from this company will answer me. They don't answer the phone, if by chance they do answer the phone the second I tell them its me they hang up. When I call back there is no answer. I have tried to leave a voicemail about this to the president of the company, *****, but I never hear back from him either. DO NOT LIVE AT ANY PROPERTY MANAGED BY FDC MANAGEMENT - THEY WILL S**** YOU OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN. THEY ARE ALL HORRIBLE, NO ONE WILL HELP YOU THERE.
