True score is " - 5 stars." Terrible contractor. The worst ever, dishonest, and digging their own grave while blaming others for their failures. I represent Powur, PBC, a general contractor. I am an independent seller for Powur. As part of Powurs installing partner network, Solar Power, LLC was contracted by Powur, PBC to install a solar system at my client's home in ************. The installation agreement is not between the homeowner and Solare Power. Solare failed to properly install the system, which did not pass inspection. Solare Power failed to return to the project site to correct the inspection failures and meet the inspector again. Solare Power refused to reply to requests to complete its contractual obligation to install the system to pass final inspection approval. Because the installation has not yet passed inspection, the homeowner has not paid Powur in full for the installation. Powur terminated Solare Power, LLC as the installing partner on the project and had to hire a different contractor to fix the installation and meet the inspector. Final Inspection is now set for Nov. 22. On Sept. 27, Solare threatened to place a lien on the property and did so on Nov. 8. Solare has done this to multiple clients in the Powur network. This action was taken despite their failure to perform, and with knowledge that its contract is with *****, PBC, (not the homeowner) who will pay Solare Power, LLC only after the project has passed final inspection and Powur has been paid for by the homeowner.Review from justin m

Horrible and unreachable! My solar company used them as installers and they did not honor the contract terms. I paid extra for attic run of the panels and they installed exterior conduit. I gave them the opportunity to simply refund me the amount for the attic run and it never happened. I will be filing a formal complaint against them as this is not right. Try calling them and reaching someone if you are considering them as installers. Make it right Solare...Review from Jeffery Y

The installation went just ok. They showed up without any appoint or notification that they were coming out. Luckily I was home and could stay home that day. The installers were unfamiliar with what I wanted done. They did not have a correct set of plans that included everything I was having installed, and how it was to get installed. *************************** the President of the Solare pwr did come out and brought some additional material for the crew with her. They were able to install the panels that day, but could not install the rest of the equipment. This I believe that was in March. It is now the second week of July and my system is still not functioning correctly. Some things work while others don't.I have contacted their office more than 5 times requesting service for a panel that has never worked and a few other panels that are not functioning correctly. I have emailed and also called their VP of Operations ******* twice and left messages requesting a follow up call and service. She has not even bothered to call me back once. I do not get any response back at all for either my emails or calling. It has now been more than a month just trying to get a response and someone to come out and I have nothing. I will be filing this with the Contractors ******************* next week. Enough is enough. Before you do business with this company do your own research. If you decide to move forward with them, remember you have been warned. I can only hope you do not have the same experience with them as I have.By the way since my system was installed in March I still to this day in July do not have PTO. There was additional paperwork that ****** wanted to see that they should have known about before filing my paperwork. So it is now more than 4 months and I'm still not up.Review from Meghan S

We signed a contract through ************* with Solare to install an MPU, solar panels, and a battery in our home. Solare charged us 50% of the cost of the project up front, upon design completion, which we believe violates their state license. They also failed to submit our net metering 2.0 application to SCE, even though I completed the form within one day of receiving it from SCE. I had to fight with SCE to get my application reinstated. Solare has been completely negligent and unavailable. All voicemails within the entire company are now full and go straight to voicemail within business hours. We were told by ************* that the project would be completed within 2 months. Solare has had our money, collecting interest for 7.5 months, and we still haven't seen any equipment installed, nor can we reach them. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY.Review from Blake F

Do not do business with Solare. Bad communication and will scam you for your money. Im a contractor and used them as a installer for one of my customer. They did the install and got paid by the finance company for the project, but no paying me and left an outstanding balance on customers permits with city. On top of that, they havent scheduled inspection and customer is stuck paying on loan and cant even get ahold of Solare. Again do not do business with this company. Lawsuits and complaints are getting filed. I dont care how much it will cost me, I love putting someones company to the ground when they do this type of business.Review from Gianpier Y

On top of taking over 6 months for all of the projects that I worked with Solare they are now choosing not to pay or respond to emails and calls. Be very careful when working with Solare either as a customer or a contractor.Review from David W

Absolutely a horrible experience so far, I paid my deposit 5 months ago and can't even get an update from them! They're primarily frustrating because they are impossible to get in touch with via any means. I call regular, call various departments, leave voice messages, and text my 'direct contact'. Haven't heard from them in weeks and the previous response I got was an "I'll check on it" text. Previous to the current lack of communication, there was a long on getting my permit approved and after finally talking to someone, turns out there was a small detail they needed (took like 10 minutes to fix) and no one had ever gotten in touch with me to fix it. Permit went through that week no problem.Would absolutely recommend anyone stay away from this company! Like a reviewer below, I was assigned to them by *************, but I'm also contacting ************* to let them know to stop doing business with them. If you can't do the basics of communication with your customers, you shouldn't be in business!Review from Aiden B

I've had an atrocious time with Solare. I was forwarded to them by Project Solar. The experience started out well but once we got into the weeds the problems began. The electricians they have on staff were unable to perform a detailed load calculation which I had specifically requested and required since I'm building an ADU. They offered to send me equipment to do this work that never arrived. They also had to demolish some of my concrete to run conduit that I've been trying to have repaired for over a month. We're also 2 months post install and I've yet to have my permission to operate because they flaked on the county inspector the first time and then once I passed inspection they forgot to forward notice to the utility. I've given them every opportunity to make it right, having spoken with their C-suite only to have been made promises that are then apparently disregarded. They've also structured their contract so they receive payment from their bank with little recourse to ensure that the work is completed before payment is issued. I'd advise anyone to avoid this company.Review from SUZANNE G

Absolutely the worst service I have ever received on a home project. After the first visit from Solare to look over my property it too another 2 and a half months to get the permit for installation and get an appointment to install. The installation was quick. It took them about a day and a half. Upon inspection, which didn't happen until one month later because Solare never bothered to make an appointment for the inspection, the solar panels failed inspection. Because our city requires all conduits to be hidden inside the attic spaces if possible. The guy from Solare showed me the permit and in BIG BOLD LETTERS it said that the conduits must be hidden in the attic space. How these guys missed that is beyond me. He didn't even bother to apologize for their huge mistake. A week later they finally came to hide the conduits in the attic space. They damaged my roof singles in the process and just left them like that. My inspector literally just showed up right now and no one from Solare is here. I have tried calling them, leaving messages in voice mails that were not full because many of them were. We used Project Solar to start the process of our panels. Project Solare chose Solare to do the project. When I spoke to Project Solar they told me they can only email Solare. They didn't have a direct contact number. That is unbelievable. I need to get a response from you, Solare, right away or I will be forced to take other measures.Customer Response

UPDATE:I received a call back from Solare and they were very apologetic about everything that has happened. We cleared up why no one was here for our scheduled inspection. And we have a new inspection scheduled. They also reassured me that they will be repairing the roof shingles when they come out for the inspection. I really appreciated their call back and they made me feel confident that the remainder of the project will be done correctly and in a timely manner. I will update my review once the project is completed and the panels are working.
