I wanted to surprise my wife and get a thorough cleaning on bathrooms and kitchen. A friend recommended Cleaning Authority who cleaned her house for $240. I explained the limited nature of my job and was quoted $360. I figured that because it was three people, I had to pay more. All was done on the phone. Never signed a contract. I put down a down payment of $150. They never called to let me know when they were coming. Three people worked for two hours. Job was not very satisfactory. The person in charge of the crew put me on the phone to approve charging the balance on my credit card. Then I got a receipt showing the total amount was $612. Four phone calls this morning got no response. I had to go in person. Address on their receipt was incorrect, but I finally found them. Manager told me that their rate is $92 an hour because it was a one time deal. That figure was never mentioned because I would not have paid that. Manager was uncooperative.Business response

i did give him back $252 as refund in his card the same day he come to the office even do we explain how much we charge by person by hrs .

we did 2.5 hrs 3 person on his house he may not thing was well preformed, and we do understand that , but he was very rude when he come and he did not give us the opportunity to fix anything.Business response

Yes, I was very unhappy when I went there. She offered no financial settlement. She said that nobody could have told me it was $360 and that their rate was $92 an hour. They did not work 2.5 hours, they did not ask permission to go over the time contracted which was two hours. Cleaning consisted mainly of spraying disinfectant all over the house. Three areas we were hoping a "professional" cleaning service would do better than we do. Wrong! My wife couldn't sleep in the master bedroom because of the intense disinfectant smell. I will look for the refund. She had my phone and Email and could have told me that! Had to ask the guy to do the outside of the windows which he was not going to do until asked. No way would I ever recommend this service to anyone.
