I had a Drs. Appointment with **************** at 4:20 pm. I just injured my foot the other day and am going slower than usual. I hit traffic and was walking slow because of my new disability. I called the Dr. ** let them know I would be late. I walked in the door at exactly 4:32. I was 12 minutes late. Even though I called and told them I was going slow because my foot they said it didnt matter and they counted it as a no show stating that I was more then 10 minutes late. I pleaded with them and told them I called and just had a recent injury and asked to let it slide and let me have my appointment and they said no. They also said they were charging me a $150.00 fee for not showing up. I told them I did show up and they said since I was 10 minutes late it counted as a no show. They never told me this was a thing. I also never signed anything saying I approved of this and all it said on there message to confirm my appointment was that if you do not show up it is a $150 fee. It said nothing about if you are more then 10 minutes late it is considered a no show and you are charged $150.00.
