Six months ago, My husband/ partner of 42 years got Covid and fell in our home and died.I picked Colma Cremation in Colma A and paid for his cremation. I also paid for his ashes to be spread at sea. After numerous monthly phone calls, about 2 weeks ago, I was informed his ashes were spread at sea and I would receive a certificate stating the longitude and latitude of his scattering.I have received no such certificate and I dont know if said scattering even occurred or where his ashes are today.This business never called me, I always had to initiate contact. That the scattering took 6 months makes me suspicious. That the service made no attempt to contact me- ever, also makes me suspicious.Can BBB look into this issue for me? To lose your mate of 42 years is heartbreaking; to not know what this service did with his ashes is too much to bear!Business response

Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you on the loss of your beloved husband, ***********************.I am following up to make sure that you received the certificate of scattering dated April 19, 2024, which was mailed to you on May 9, 2024. A copy of the certificate is attached. Please let us know if you did not receive it.Please be rest assured that our funeral director, ***************************, personally scattered your beloved husband's cremated remains. The certificates were sent out for printing, and did take awhile for us to receive them.I am also responding to your concerns filed with the Better Business Bureau.At the time you made arrangements for ****'s scattering, I mentioned that it could take a few months since we wait for at least 10 or more other loved ones for the scattering. We schedule the scatterings according our funeral director and captain's ********* and of course the weather is a factor. I also mentioned that we would contact you of your husband's scattering, and I apologize that you did not receive the message earlier.
