On April 22, 2022, I received an estimate from ************************* of A & G Imports in ********** for regular maintenance and for a repair of the passenger's front side window. His estimate for this repair was for $311.20. On May 18, 2022, I brought in my 2008 ***** Civic for repai, as I believed everything that **************** had told me. **************** then told me that he needed to get "a new motor to fix it" and wouldn't have time to repair it until the next Friday, May 20, 2022. I agreed went back on that Friday and waited for the repair to be completed. An hour later, **************** told me that he couldn't fix it because it also requires, "two drivers, one for the passenger's side and one for the driver's side." I asked him to put the original motor back in my car. He told me that he couldn't do so because he had cut a cable and this made it unusable. So, after paying for the "new motor," I thanked him and left. I needed to still be able to get my window in a working condition, so I decided to get a second opinion. I immediately drove to ************************************** in *********** for the second opinion. I spoke with *****************************, Manager of ********************* ***** who told me that the motor that **************** had replaced was in working condition and didn't need to be replaced. ****************** also informed me that the problem could be resolved by swapping out the driver's side control panel and that there is no need to install "a driver" (as **************** said) on the passenger's side. As a senior citizen with a disability, my income doesn't allow me to afford more than one repair at a time, so I would like help with obtaining a refund from **************** so that I can afford the required part as ****************** had said it needed. At this time, I have spent $311.20 for no reason, as the window is still not working, **************** had rendered my old regulator and motor useless when he cut a cable on it, and the parts that **************** say it needs are not actually needed per ****************** of ********************* *****.
