Food product had white chunks in the mix ground plant based beef. This was not normal. I have been buying this product monthly for over a year and this is the first time I have seen white chunks. I had to grow it out. I received a response that they have added chunks of coconut oil. They refused to send me a coupon to replace what I threw out. They were not open hit 3 days when this happened. If they add a product thats noticeable they should be informing the customers so they are not alarmed. On weekends they could put this on their website too. Negligence on their end to alert their customers of this. Anyone in the right mind wouldve thrown this out if they saw ********* chunks that never appeared there before Im asking for a refund or replacement of the 2 pounds of ground beyond beef that I purchased.Initial Complaint

I have developed a severe allergy to corn in the last several months, which keeps getting worse due to hidden exposures. I've taken to emailing food manufacturers of the products I use to ask about corn-derived ingredients. Today, I emailed Beyond Meat to ask about the "natural flavors" in their product and whether they were corn-derived. The following is the response I received. Hi ****** Thanks for reaching out. Our products contain proprietary blends of plant-based natural flavors that mimic the aroma and flavor profiles found in animal-based meat. While we cannot share the complex flavors that are used in these proprietary blends, we can share that the use of corn is not prohibited or restricted by the FDA. Therefore, it may be included in our natural flavors if necessary to deliver the delicious taste our consumers know and love. Best, *** Consumer Care Team I was absolutely appalled by this. I'm not asking for their secret formula. I'm asking whether the products I already purchased, sitting in my freezer, are going to make me violently ill! Allergies can be life-threatening, and they are more concerned about their "proprietary blend" than consumer safety? I pushed back and they said that it's from a third-party manufacturer and they don't require them to disclose. To me, that's just abdicating their responsibility to the consumer. I think this is a terrible policy and was delivered in a heartless way. Please help me get an answer whether the $40 worth of products in my freezer need to be thrown away to save my health. I'm supporting a large family including three foster kids. That $40 is a big deal to me.Business response

I understand that the business's stand is that they are doing the bare minimum required by law. That doesn't make it right. I couldn't eat products I already bought because they couldn't tell me what's in their own products? Does that seem right to anyone? It's contemptible.
