I had ordered 6 boxes of clif bars. Each box is supposed to have 12 bars, I recieved only two boxes and they were damaged, the box was torn, they only had 5 bars in each of the 2 boxes and the rest of the 4 boxes were missing itselfInitial Complaint

This company made very poor (rookie) business decisions resulting in one of their products being out of stock. They responded via email with the most unbelievable excuses for being out of a product. These included "climate change, ******* and labor shortage". Yes you read that correctly.As simple consumers, we are SHOCKED that a self-sabotaging statement (copied directly from our email) like the following was made from Clif Bar:"Unfortunately, the global food market is facing some serious challenges right now. Climate change, the War in *******, and labor shortages have created a worldwide shortage of key ingredients in some of our product lines. To keep up with consumer demand, we're prioritizing production of our most popular products. This means we made the difficult decision to temporarily pause production on Blueberry Almond ******************* Bars. We are optimistic that this will be a temporary situation - you can learn more and keep up to date on our website: https://www.clifbar.com/wheres-my-flavor. "We just need our favorite healthy Clif bars not confessions of an unprepared, irresponsible, company detached from reality. Their false optimism in the face of having to literally turn down our money (we were on the auto-renewal ordering program and bought 250 bars a month) indicates a clear level of immaturity and incompetence. Honestly, we were so shocked by this email that we did not know how to reply without using explicit language etc.. we have a lot of friends and family (also lovers of *************) looking for work. So we decided to cancel and contact BBB.Our goal is to let BBB know that there are companies conducting themselves this way and as customers we don't feel comfortable giving our money to a company who blames the world for their lack of basic business foresight.
