Date of Transaction: 10/07/2024We hired them to replace the entire roof, and they started the work after getting the permit. They could not pass the city inspection (despite the fact that the city inspector was on the site in the very beginning and made the expectations about the flat roof very clear). It took us almost two days and many many calls to get some clarification about the status of the project and they told us that we cannot proceed, you need to go and find a general contractor to create a slope on your roof. During this time, our unfinished roof has been leaking and we have damage on the ceiling and flooring. They have practically left the job, and no one has made any attempts to help us with this.

Roof Doctors disputes EVERYTHING posted by this reviewer. Roof Doctors NEVER abandoned this job. The City of *********, after an inspection, required our job to be stopped in the area in question, because the city is now requiring that this reviewer is to structurally change his roof from a low-pitched roof to a tapered or pitched roof. This type of structural modification requires the work of a structural engineer and a General Contractor. As a result, the requirements demanded by the City of ********* is beyond the scope of work of a roofing contractor and is beyond the scope of work in the Contract signed by this Reviewer with Roof Doctors. This Reviewer is demanding that Roof Doctors perform this structural work at no-charge, and has posted this review, after Roof Doctors denied this Reviewer's demands. As of this date, Roof Doctors has not charged this Reviewer, and this Reviewer has not paid Roof Doctors any sum of money.

On April 21, 2023 I purchased a new home and had the roof doctors come and replace the missing shingles on my roof from the pictures that were provided by ********************* the inspector. Once the job was completed by the roof doctors there were no pictures or proof provided that these shingles had been replaced. I was told there was a warranty for my roof. Now its 03/06/2024 and the same shingles that were so called replaced are no longer on the roof. When I reached out to the roof doctors they stated the warranty is not valid for the shingles and now they want to charge $1,224 dollars for new repairs.

Roof Doctors (RD) has been incredibly unresponsive, incompetent, threatening and unprofessional to us over a roof repair that they performed on 10/24/23.Once the repair was completed it was IMMEDIATELY obvious that the work was not right. The tiles do not lay flat and are no longer interlocking, and are chipped and broken. The ridge tiles are open and broken, lifted by significant gaps. No mortar was used to fill the gaps which should not be there in the first place. This may now cause water to compromise the integrity of the roof.We called RD and specifically requested that a supervisor come out to reevaluate/inspect the work and were given a vague answer as to when and who. Again we called and were informed that we received an upgrade to triple rib" causing the tiles to lift up. We let them know that it was not right and they needed to fix it with the right materials. This fell on deaf ears.On 11/2 ****** from RD, sent a report back saying the job was done correctly, not advising any changes. ** gave us no opportunity to discuss the issues with them. On 11/3 we called and asked again to have a supervisor come to the house to re-inspect and were informed again that the reason the repair job looks the way it does is because we received and upgrade (an upgrade?? ).On 11/10 we had another company come out to inspect RD;s work. They confirmed the triple rib was too thick and was raising and cracking the tiles. Also, the broken tiles should have been replaced, not glued together. He gave us an estimate to repair the work that and said he would replace the broken tiles with new ones. We are awaiting that repair now.RD has not attempted to work with us even though we have reached out many times and now they are threatening a mechanics lien via phone message and letter. We prefer to be fair and discuss a solution, paying RD for the difference after the cost of having their work repaired. I left a message to RD and received no answer.

I entered a contract with the Roof Doctors and asked them to repair my roof, including installation of two downspout extenders. The repair was done on Aug 1, 2023. After installation, I found that the extenders are not the same size as the existing ones. They pop up there on the garage roof like temporary repair. The extenders are really ugly because they are too big. The garage is located in the front of the house. People walking by in the street can see them clearly. They are not suitable for my house for no houses has such a thing on the garage roof. Apparently, the Roof Doctors did the repair incorrectly because they did pay any attention to cosmetics of the community. I told them the problem the next day after repair was done. I request them to re-do the extenders with extenders similar to the existing one. But they refused my request. At last, I asked them to remove those extenders, they said they can remove the extenders but insist to charge me more money. According to the contract with the listed Right to Repair, Notice of Default and Opportunity to Cure, my request is covered. They seem don't care the contract they signed. The quoted price for the entire repair work is $2826, a lot of money already. I don't think it is right to charge me additional money. They asked me to find a gutter to re-do the work, because they cannot do the work as I requested. I felt cheated because they knew what they offered was not a right solution but they still listed the work in the contract. Another problem with the installation is that the extenders are fixed on the roof with a piece of glue tape, which I am afraid will not last very long. we get very strong wind in this area. Once the tape fails, the extenders may move during strong wind presenting a safety hazard. I have been attempting to contact with the Roof Doctors asking them to remove the extenders and reduce the bill. However, they don't want to do as I requested.

In January 2023 roof doctors was contracted to fix a leak. Part of the contract was re-directing water flow to a different area. The work was done and was completed in less than 30 minutes and was a terrible job. A banged-up metal pipe was taped to a prior down spout and re-directed to the same area where the leak was not fixing the issue at all. It was also not secured and a safety hazard to leave unsecured on the roof. No communication on work done or explanation was provided. For the next 30 days I attempted to reach anyone at roof doctors to discuss the problem. The staff who returns your message repeatedly told me they have no way of reaching out directly to supervisors or management. The staff refused to document any of my calls or provide any email or communication that I needed a response. Finally, after 30 days the original surveyor returned to my home, and with me by his side, confirmed the job done was in fact a c*** job of sub-standard work. He completely agreed with me. He then removed the down spout and it was left open that he would need to figure out with his boss on the best next steps. The job was left incomplete. Another 30 days goes by and despite multiple calls and emails to this surveyor and roof doctors staff there was a complete lack of response. Finally, 2 months after the work was complete I receive an email from co-owner that the invoice is unpaid. I kindly asked for a phone conversation to discuss the incomplete job and adjustments or plans to complete the job. He refused to have a phone call. The owner of the company refused to have a discussion with a client about a sub-standard job that was left incomplete, and his only response was a threat to enforce a mechanics lien on the property if the invoice was not paid. Ultimately an $80 discount on work left incomplete was offered, for a $1320 job. I did not agree or accept this but again was threated with mechanics lien if not paid. I do not think this practice was fair at all.

I had a leak in my roof leaking into the kitchen. I had roof doctors give me an estimate for repairs. They sent me a quote saying some shingles needed to be replaced. They came to my house for about ten minutes and said the work was done. A couple days later the roof was still leaking. They refused to fix it and gave me a new estimate for additional repairs that was higher than the first estimate. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor multiple times and no one ever called me back. I received a call from them threatening to *** me if I didnt pay for the repairs they did not complete. I ultimately paid because I was scared of going to court. I got a new estimate from a different company and they said not only did roof doctors not fix the leak, they put on new shingles over the old ones instead of replacing it like the contract said.

We recently purchased a home and had Roof Doctors come to inspect the roof. We had seen some staining on the ceiling in 2 rooms and Roof Doctors said that there was an active leak in that area and that we needed to replace the water pan. We were quoted $2500 for the repair. We did the work as we wanted to ensure that we didn't have any water intrusion problems. The work was completed in September. The first heavy rain didn't come until December. As soon as we had rain, I noticed the window in our dining room (the site of the original ceiling stain and roof work) was leaking profusely. I initially assumed it was the window and called a window company who came out, water tested the window and suggested it might be the roof. I contacted Roof Doctors, they sent out an inspector and I was told they would come out and do another repair which was to be covered under our warranty. That work was done on 12/16. On 12/27, I awoke to see my dining room full of water and the dining room window, wall, etc. all soaking wet. I called again and I was really upset and told them that they either don't actually know what the problem is or they haven't done a proper repair. I proceeded to call another company to get a second opinion and they quickly identified the problem as clogged gutters. They came out the same morning, unclogged the gutters and the leak stopped.I contacted Roof Doctors because I firmly believe that they're responsible for the misdiagnosis but the response I received was **** and churlish at best. Basically, they keep pointing to their contract that says they're not responsible for future leaks which is fine because that's not what the issue is. Even if we give them the benefit of the doubt that they made a good faith assessment, the reality is that not only did I pay $2500 for a repair that was unnecessary, I also incurred additional costs to have the window tested and have someone come out spur of the moment to unclog the gutters.
