      I am writing to state my displeasure with the Notice of Cancellation received by us regarding our policy. The reason stated for cancellation was said to be a refusal to allow an inspector to access our property resulting in the inability to confirm requirements necessary to maintain coverage.The initial appointment was set up by *****************************. The inspector, ********************* was given the opportunity to enter the property and given the access code upon his arrival. Why would we not allow an inspection? We have a security video of ****************** on the property.The fact of the matter is that we decided to go in a different direction with insurance and once they were notified, they decided to cancel us conjuring up the story of no access. We are reporting this unprofessional behavior by the company and representatives as we find this very disturbing and improper protocol/policy for a company.

      Would leave a 0 star if I could. I switched to this insurance company on January 25th and was cancelled immediately for whatever c*** excuse they provided. I know it was c*** because I was able to obtain an insurance policy immediately with a better, cheaper company. Received a check and they took $1,000.00 to cover me for less than a month! When I called their explanation was also crap! Run far away and do not use this company, you will be disappointed!!!!

      I put in a claim a year late due to non renewal and got denied for a new roof Plus, I had no idea that I was not getting renewed. I thought once a policy is inactive , you can not use. I did not know til November 11th of last year that my policy was canceled Poor Communication with customers and, they do not help people when there supposed to. I do have hail coverage on my policy, and, they still won't budge. My date of loss was August 21, 2021 for hail Storm, but they said there was no hail storm for my state that day We sent documents to show proof. An adjuster come out and do an inspection on my roof and marked where the hail damage was and there was a lot Why have homeowners insurance if you can not even use it. Every time I put in a claim, will be denied because, it seems they don't want to pay out and are playing hardball. So I guess I will just have to wait until a Hurricane comes and tears off my roof, then maybe I will get somewhere. Lucky my house didn't burn down last year. Whoever has Geovera, and you want to make a Claim, Good Luck They will not help you in anyway shape or form. Turn you down like they don't care if your roof starts to leak, shingles falling off, nails sticking out, plywood rotted. Etc

      GeoVera acted unethical at best. Our policy with GeoVera started Feb 27, 2022. On April 23, we received a notice of cancellation with a cancellation date of May 24, 2022. The reason for the cancellation was given as: "The Property location no longer meets our underwriting guidelines because the dwelling is in need of maintenance or repair, and/or there is unrepaired and/or unmitigated damages." That was all the information given and their ****************** number will not allow you to talk with anyone. It directs you to your broker. We recently completed a major renovation of the house and are unaware of any factors that would be of concern. We have never been paid a ***** from them or any other homeowner policy and we are very curious to find out what changed in April that they didn't know in February. The lack of detail seems to suggest their really is no problem.The fact that the cancellation date is one week before hurricane season does appear very suspicious. Hard not to believe they "cherry-picked" the low-risk months they would take our money, then cancelling the policy whenever it was convenient to them. Insurance companies are taking our money with double-digit rate increases while giving the very opposite of customer service. This racket needs to be stopped and I am dialing the **************** CFO office to let them know what happened.
