To fix my ceiling fan:1st Visit: guy pushed buttons on my remote & declared that my fan was working and left. each speed was the SAME! 2nd visit: buttons & played with the wall switch, told me I just had to use it from the wall. I informed him that that was unacceptable. I asked questions - guy ignored me & turned away from me & started walked away. Nothing was done. 3rd Visit: Old fan removed. New fan to be installed. Not told I'm getting a new fan. New fan in box was already broken. Nothing done Visit #4: New fan installed. Refused to fix wall controls which I asked him to do and he said yes. He told me if he messed with it, then the remote for the ceiling fan would no longer work. I turned on fan later and it is going clockwise instead of counterclockwise.

About a month ago, Compound Electric sent their ***************** out to repair/diagnosis an issue with my house fan. He did not take a closer look at the fan. He listened to it for a couple minutes and said its just worn out. i asked if it was safe to keep using til it died or was replaced. he said it was fine to keep using it. he never said anything about the attic or ventilation or attic ventilation. he never asked about the attic or indicated in any way that my fan was installed incorrectly. However, he did not even seem to know we needed to open all the windows of the house, to let the air in, before turning on the big fan. so how can he report to my warranty company, (FIRST ******** HOME WARRANTY) who they are in contract with, that the issue with my fan is due to secondary damage caused by lack of attic ventilation? He told the warranty company that, so they could deny my claim. i paid $500 for that warranty. the fan is honestly just worn out from normal use after 16yrs. this is so unfair. what can be done? i just want my fan working properly or my money back for that warranty, so i can pay for the repair. a complaint has been filed against first ******** home warranty: ********, but since they insist they cannot approve my claim, simply because of *****'s report on this made up excuse about an attic he never even looked in, here's a claim for Compound Elect too.thanks for your help

On May 3,2023 compound Electric co. Had schedule and appointment between 12:00-400. Technician reported that the job was done between 11:45-12:02 (pic uploaded) when in reality he rang the door bell-at 11:59 and left immediately after.(i have and electric door bell with camera ) i arrived home 12:02 (I can prove this with garage history as it opens automatically when I arrive home.) I tried to contact the company but the number they provided only receives text and they never returned a text after this. I asked the company by text to make sure not to bill my home warranty and they went ahead and did just that. I have not hear back from them and my home warranty says they can not do anything about it, they have to pay if they were billed. Compound electric were supposed to check wires in my kitchen that have shortage, and another one in the garage.

Home warranty info online said Compound Electric would come to our home 11/22/22 b/c repeatedly lost power in downstairs bedrooms and bathroom, we reset breaker at least 5 times before the scheduled time for contractor to arrive. When the contractor arrived from Compound Electric, he sat in his truck for 20 minutes in front of our house. When my husband went outside to see if he was going to come check out our problem, he left after speaking to my husband for a couple minutes. I called Compound Electric directly and spoke to ****. He told me he would call me back as soon as he spoke to ******************, who came to our house. When he called back he said my husband told ****************** this was an issue since we moved in, he we needed to contact home warranty company because it was pre-existing. At no point did we say this. I told **** we had a home inspection report that showed our electrical was servicible and had no issues. I repeated my frustration that the contractor never even got out of his truck. **** then said I didn't know how home warranties work, and that i should contact them myself. Then he hung up on me. I spent the next hour on hold waiting to speak to someone at First American. I was able to speak to ************************ and she said there was nothing she could do but wait for the electrical company to make their report. she did provider her email address after I asked so I could submit our home inspection report. I immediately sent it and she confirmed receipt. On 11/25/22, I recieved a voicemail from her to say that the report showed no issues with electrical and that I needed to do nothing but wait for Compound electrical to call me to set up an appointment to return. As of today, 12/7/22, I have not received a call. on the website First American closed the request as "resolved" and closed. Compound Electrical was paid by First American $600 in addition to my paid service fee. I have received nothing. I have also filed a complaint with *********************.
