They first reached out to me as Student Support Live from Certified Enrollment Center in May/June 2018. I had just had my first baby, it was a traumatic and premature birth, baby was in NICU and I knew it was going to be expensive. I was talked into an $800 up front sum to put towards my student loan consolidation and forgiveness. Since then, they have been pulling $29.99 from my bank account each month, including just yesterday. Studentaid.gov says companies have no say in who gets loan forgiveness and should not be charging fees for otherwise free services. So I looked them up. Their ******** page for Student Support Live hasnt been updated since 2018. I have 3 different phone numbers for them now, which either arent in service anymore or sound sketchy. I contacted my bank yesterday and put a stop payment on yesterdays charge and blocking the next 6 months. I got an email first thing this morning from Certified Enrollment Center ************************* saying my payment was returned and I should call right away to reschedule my payment so it doesnt delay my loan consolidation process with the ********** of ********* but my loans are already consolidated. And the phone number was different still: ************. I also have **************************** The latter is disconnected. Their web addresses are not safe. And the address in the email I got was now listed as: ************************************************************************ I believe they are just a scam. I have reported them to DFPI. I have calculated an estimate of $2870 paid to them since mid 2018.Initial Complaint

There have been payments taken from my bank account for student loans to Certified Enrollment Center since February 22, 2019. I have paid $2,068.51 to the company in loan payments, I thought this money was going to pay off my student loans. On March 12, 2023, I, **************************, received student loan forgiveness. Certified Enrollment Center continues to take $29.99 out of my account each month. It took a payment of $199.67 on 2/22/2019, $199.67 on 3/22/2019, $199.66 on 4/19/2022 and $29.99 every month since 5/2019. I believe this money has been taken from me. ****** and the ********** of ********* has no record of payments towards my loan and from this company. My name is *********************** and the name on this contract is ***********************. This company has taken $2,068.51 from me since February 22, 2019. The company named in this complaint speaks of handling business practices with professionalism. First hand experience proves that to be inccorect and far from the truth. Agents asked questions and relied on a computer system to determine eligibility in a legal case while not acting as any form of a claim administrator. Agent disconnected call abruptly after a question asked that had no bearing on my claims eligibility. Agent was rude and performed poor and unprofessional bitterness practices. Agent asked one question is this for you or a loved one, then stated my custom was denied and after statimg that only one claim Das submitted as is the law in the case The result my claim was denied unjustly.
